Week 15, where if you started Aiden O’Connell, Clyde Edwards-Helaire, Noah Brown and Elijah Higgins you can almost triple your opponent’s score if they started Dak Prescott, Saquon Barkley, Brandon Aiyuk and Travis Kelce. WHY: Down Season Still Has Hall At RB-10
Hall has had the cards stacked against him early in 2023. An Achilles injury to Aaron Rodgers in the first game coupled with Hall recovering from his own knee injury from 2022 led to a slow start for the Jets offense as a whole.
A huge step in Hall’s impact as an RB in fantasy is his pass-catching usage. While Hall has slightly fewer rushing attempts than the underutilized Bijan Robinson, he is second among running backs in targets with 66 through Week 15. Assuming Aaron Rodgers comes back healthy in 2024, the usage of Aaron Jones during Rodgers’ time in Green Bay would be a good blueprint.
Hall’s rushing efficiency is reasonably off the pace during his rookie season prior to his injury (5.8 yards per attempt v. 4.2 yards per attempt). However, Hall has played in every game in 2023 and has been subject to a revolving door of mediocre QB play. For any dynasty manager leery of investing in a soon-to-be third-year RB, remember that the 2024 class of rookie RB’s is not expected to provide much help.
Jayden Reed (WR-Green Bay Packers)
WHY: Pivotal Weapon in Green Bay Offense
Reed leads all Packer receivers in targets and targets per route run; further, he has 119 rushing yards and two rushing TD’s as the ultimate weapon in Green Bay. The rookie outshined second-year receivers Romeo Doubs and Christian Watson, establishing a connection with Jordan Love as the latter ventured into his first full season as the Packers’ starting QB.
Heading into 2024 the Packers will bring back the same core group of receivers still on their rookie deals, giving Reed a chance to solidify himself as the primary weapon in the offense. Further, there is uncertainty at the RB position with AJ Dillon an unrestricted free agent and Aaron Jones with a palpable dead cap figure following the 2023 season. Reed’s usage as a runner could be the sole bit of continuity in the Packers’ rushing attack in 2024. While the price for Reed is likely steep in your dynasty league, it is still worth an inquisition for the young, budding offensive weapon.

WHY: Free Agent After 2023
It feels like only yesterday the fantasy community elevated Edwards-Helaire to the presumptive 1.01 due largely to landing in Kansas City. This would of course be ahead of the likes of Jonathan Taylor, J.K. Dobbins, CeeDee Lamb, D’Andre Swift, Justin Jefferson and Michael Pittman to name a few. Now nearly four years later CEH becomes an unrestricted free agent following the 2023 season after the Chiefs declined his fifth-year option.

The fantasy community can now see CEH for what he is, a rotational, do-it-all RB that can fit into a committee backfield. Thanks to what many expect to be an underwhelming rookie RB class in 2024, CEH should have no trouble finding a new home in 2024. There may be optimism for a good landing spot, but leave it to another dynasty manager to sweat out the free agency roller coaster for at best a comparable situation to what he currently has in Kansas City. Hopefully filling in for Isiah Pacheco the last two weeks has given another dynasty manager the idea that CEH is worth trade consideration.
Aidan O’Connell (QB-Las Vegas Raiders)
WHY: Good Story In Las Vegas Doesn’t Change Need For Franchise QB
The Raiders currently sit at the twelfth pick in the 2024 NFL Draft and regardless of where they end up by season’s end I fully expect them to spend their first round pick on a QB. This is no slight to Aidan O’Connell as he has filled in admirably amidst a lost season that included the firing of head coach Josh McDaniels, among others, and benching of Jimmy Garoppolo.
Although the expectation is that the Raiders are in the market for a franchise QB, O’Connell is fresh off a 63-21 whooping of the Los Angeles Chargers were he threw for a season-high four TD’s. With how the 2023 has seen so many second- and third-string QB’s elevated to starters, there may be a dynasty manager that considers O’Connell a valuable depth piece to a superflex roster. While I do not disagree with the importance of the QB position in the superflex format, O’Connell is not the investment I would be looking to make in order to scratch that itch.
