DFS Doctor’s Daily DraftKings MLB Rx 5/7/15

Daily Fantasy Sports. It’s the reason I’m here writing this, it’s the reason you’re here to read
this post. It’s also the most fickle and up and down hobby I’ve ever been a part of in my life.
Everyday we decieve ourselves into thinking that we can build that “perfect” lineup. We scour
the internet for stats, scroll through twitter, crunch numbers, write down players we like, build
a spreadsheet with your daily picks. Ok that may not be you, but that’s me! That’s what each
of my days look like, while I manage to find a way to fit everything important in my life around
DFS. It can be a headache inducing hobby. But somehow it always manages to bring us in for
more. For more of what? I tell you it’s not just the money, it’s the hope of building something
great! What am I saying?! Of course it’s the money! We all hope for that shot and hitting the
big cash or some of us are just content with finding our ways into the green in our little $1
50/50. Whatever it is for you I know one thing….you hate losing when you pick the “right”
picks. That’s what happened to me yesterday. I played the early slate games and put together
a lineup that was going against everything. Against the Vegas lines, against other dfs
“experts”, and even against myself. I made like 5 lineups all with Max Scherzer in them. I
wasn’t satisfied with any of them because I would never have enough salary left over to buy
any good bats. So as I was writing up my blog post yesterday I realized what I had to do. I
had to go against the norm and play the pitchers who would allow me to play the strongest
lineup I could.

I know what you’re thinking. “Did he just stop right there? Is he gonna finish his thought?” Well guess what? I did finish my thought. But for some reason wordpress decided it didn’t want to save my progress! So I’ll be back with an update for today’s early slate.

Starting Pitchers

I’m taking a slightly different approach to todays early slate. I’m fading some of the higher ranked pitcher (Kluber, Arrieta, Lackey, Fiers). Reason being that the offense around the league has been destroying these so called aces. So I’m going with some cheap pitchers face some weakers teams.
