Full disclosure, last week my DFS Yahoo plans were punctured. The only QB I wrote about was the Chargers signal-caller. Technically that was a good call, I just had the wrong guy. Still the process of paying down at quarterback has its upside.

Home and Dome
There are a few elements that I look at in order to find the most desired matchups. There is what I call Home and Dome, teams that are playing at home with an indoor stadium. Wind can be a factor that can negatively impact passing offenses and being indoors takes that element away. There are three teams that play Home and Dome in the week 2 Sunday Slate:
Arizona Cardinals vs Detroit Lions
Atlanta Falcons vs Chicago Bears
Minnesota Vikings vs Tennesee Titans
New Orleans Saints vs Green Bay Packers
Quarterback
Justin Herbert (LAC) $27 vs CAR
Here we go again. I’m charging right back in, only this week with Justin Herbert who is the starter (for now) in Los Angeles. After putting up 23.24 fantasy points in week 2, Herbert should produce very well against the 29th ranked defense in Football Outsiders DVOA (Defense-adjusted Value Over Average).
Mitchell Trubisky (CHI) $26 @ ATL
Another great matchup in the lower end price range for a starting QB. Mitch Trubisky has several advantages, one of which is the Falcons 28th ranked DVOA defense. Furthermore, the indoor game helps, even if it is on the road. Finally, Trubisky’s rushing ability can help support a solid production floor.

Running Back
Miles Sanders (PHI) $21 vs CIN
I will keep hammering home the DVOA apparently. Miles Sanders has a great matchup on tap against the 22nd ranked DVOA defense. Also, already in his young career, Sanders has established himself as a reliable pass-catcher out of the backfield. His 7 targets from last week could increase due to wide receiver health, poor offensive line play, as well as other factors. Furthermore, the Eagles gave Sanders the full goal-line role which can elevate his fantasy ceiling.
James Conner (PIT) $17 vs HOU
Even though only 2 weeks, we can start to piece together some trends. For instance, the Texans have allowed almost 400 yards rushing so far this season as well as a TD on the ground in each game. Enter James Conner who returned with a healthy 16 carries during week 2. An established workhorse for only $17 is too great a value to ignore.

Wide Receiver
DK Metcalf $24 / Tyler Lockett $22 (SEA) vs DAL
Once again, I want to target the Cowboys game. At 57 points combined over/under, the Cowboys-Seahawks game it the highest projected score this week. D.K. Metcalf posted almost identical stat lines in each of the first two weeks. 4 receptions, 90+ yards 1 TD. The only complaint is his catch rate of 57%. Tyler Lockett on the other hand has a 93% catch rate and has maintained double-digit fantasy points in each contest. Either is a great play against the Cowboys secondary. Metcalf likely provides more of a ceiling, while Lockett can contribute a safe floor.
Keenan Allen (LAC) $20 vs CAR
Déja vu? Yes, last week I recommended the Chargers QB-WR stack. The change in signal-caller may actually have helped Keenan Allen as he saw 10 targets. If Herbert continues to look Allen’s way often, he comes in at $20.
Tyler Boyd (CIN) $17 @ PHI
For a slot WR, the advantage of facing the Eagles defense is avoiding Darius Slay. For the Bengals, the key to the passing game may be Tyler Boyd. He currently leads all Cincinnati WRs in fantasy points so far this young season. I do not expect that to change in week 3.

Tight End
Dallas Goedert (PHI) $18 vs CIN
Dallas Goedert has received more targets than Zach Ertz in both games so far this season. Perhaps it is unwise to completely overact to that, but he still has the lower price between the two Eagles TEs. And for all of the reasons that I believe Miles Sanders will be heavily involved in the passing game, that all applies to Goedert as well.
Evan Engram / Jordan Reed $14 SF @ NYG
The TE position could be heavily used by both sides in the 49ers-Giants matchup. Considering all of the injuries, specifically to offensive skill players, Evan Engram and Jordan Reed could both be in line for a lot of targets. Look for both to be factors in the Red Zone, give each player a decent TD upside.

Deep Dive
Kareem Hunt (CLE) $13 vs WAS
There may be some fear in facing the Washington pass-rush. So far the Browns are ranked very well in Football Outsiders Offensive Line rankings. To be exact, Cleveland is 2nd in Adjusted Line Yards rushing, and 8th in adjusted sack rate. Therefore, Kareem Hunt posses some upside with the chance at a TD behind that line. However, if Washington can produce some pressure on the QB, Hunt also offers a high-floor target in the passing game. It is very difficult to find that type of ceiling-floor combination for only $13. With greta value all over the slate, I do not recommend paying less for any player.
Defense
New York Giants $ 13 vs SF
Defense, however, is the perfect time to pay down. While the 49ers have a reputation of being a good offensive line. However, through 2 weeks, they are ranked 31st in run blocking and 28th in pass protection according to Football Outsiders. With all the injuries that both teams have suffered, this game has the lowest over/under at 42 points.

Minimum price defense for a team with a backup QB, and potentially missing its top 2 WRs.
