DFS Yahoo Best Value Player Prices Week 10 NFL (11/14)

Quarterback

Justin Herbert (LAC) $31 vs MIN

Kirk Cousins (MIN) $27 @ LAC

In my opinion, the two best QB values of the week are both playing in the Vikings-Chargers game. For starters, the oddsmakers have projected this as the 2nd highest scoring matchup on the week with an over/under of 53 points. The production should be there especially for these quarterbacks. Justin Herbert and Kirk Cousins are two of only six quarterbacks playing in the Week 10 main slate who have averaged over 20 fantasy points per game this season. Among that group, Herbert and Cousins are the two cheapest options.

Running Back

Najee Harris (PIT) $31 vs DET

D’Andre Swift (DET) $24 @ PIT

We will continue with the same position game-stacks. Starting on the Steelers’ side, Najee Harris may be one of the best values on the entire slate. Strange to say that for an RB over $30, but Haris has the potential to lead the position this week. A major factor is the matchup, as the Lions have allowed the 2nd most fantasy points per game to opposing running backs. Harris is a true workhorse with over 20 touches in 6 straight games.

As for D’Andre Swift, his pass-catching role maintains him as a top 10 RB placement in fantasy points per game. He is game script proof, which is important since Detroit has not won yet this season. Even if they don’t score a lot of points as a team, Swift will mostly remain productive for fantasy purposes.

Frankly, stacking to running backs in the same game is strange. Not to mention the fact that Lions-Steelers has the lowest over/under of the week at only 42.5 projected points. Not the most conventional pick, but that’s the point. Especially in GPP or tournament contests, Detroit and Pittsburgh players will likely have lower rostership. Certainly few will play both running backs, but I think that can make this stack a great leverage play.

Mark Ingram (NO) $14 @ TEN

Next, we drop all the way down to $14. There are two running backs in particular that are far underpriced. The reason is that a couple of elite running backs are unexpectedly inactive this week and the prices were set before all the news dropped. So take advantage and play Mark Ingram in as many lineups as you can. He should see the majority of the carries for the Saints but he could also potentially access a pass-catching ceiling. Last week, Ingram caught all 5 of his targets which adds to his fantasy floor.

Wide Receiver

Mike Evans (TB) $30 @ WAS

You might be thinking, why is the 2nd most expensive WR on the main slate listed as a value. Well, there are a few reasons. First off, the top end of WR prices is a little lower than in other weeks. Also, when looking at other positions, there is so much great value available for cheaper players. That makes it easier to pay up for multiple wide receivers near the top of the prices. In fact, there are so many good WR options (as you shall see shortly) that I do not want to pay less than $20 for any of the WR spots in lineups. That all starts with Mike Evans. With several pass-catching teammates injured, Evans should be in line for a target volume spike. With 6 TD receptions over the last 4 weeks, Evans has the scoring ceiling built into his skill set.

Justin Jefferson (MIN) $25 @ LAC

In the QB section, I outlined the advantage of going after the Vikings-Chargers game. Among the passing weapons from either side, my favorite play is Justin Jefferson. His explosive ability allows him to produce solid fantasy numbers even without massive volume. Just last week he scored 15.5 fantasy points on only 3 catches. Furthermore, the Jefferson stack with QB Cousins would only cost $52. A great value considering the upside that combo possesses.

Stefon Diggs (BUF) $24 @ NYJ

One aspect I referenced over the past few articles in the Goal-Line Guide. This weekly model calculates the TD likelihood of offenses based on their success, and their opponent’s defensive success, near the goal-line. For Week 10, the Bills passing attack has the 2nd highest score of any team playing in the main slate. For Stefon Diggs, there may be some worry that Buffalo could blow out the Jets, and he will not see many targets as a result of the game script. However, Diggs’ 2nd and 3rd best fantasy performances of the season came in games where the Bills shut out their opponent’s offenses. So Diggs should be good to go when it comes to producing fantasy points in your DFS lineups.

Diontae Johnson (PIT) $23 vs DET

Diontae Johnson has high upside for a relative value price. On this Week 10 main slate, Johnson is 7th in fantasy points per game among wide receivers. Yet he is tied for 15th in cost this week. That screams value for a target monster like Johnson, especially with another injury to that WR room. He has received double-digit targets in 5 of the 7 games that he has played this season. Johnson will likely make it 6 of 8 games after this week.

Tight End

Dalton Schultz (DAL) $17 vs ATL

Back to the Goal-Line Guide. For Week 10, the Cowboys passing game has the 4th highest Goal-Line Grade overall. After a disappointing performance last week, I want to go right back and invest in the Dallas offense. Dalton Schultz provides an affordable way to do that. With the lack of elite tier tight ends in the Week 10 main slate, Schultz has just as much upside as any player at his position. Yet there are 6 tight ends that are more expensive. That screams value to me.

Ricky Seals-Jones (WAS) $11 vs TB

Looking through the prices of tight ends, the value just seemed to get better and better the further one went down the list. While it was a shock to see Ricky Seals-Jones at $11, I can understand the reasoning. First, he is coming off of a season-worst 2.2 fantasy point performance. Also, there were expectations that an injured teammate would return. That is not the case, and Seals-Jones will be Washington’s starting TE for at least one more week. If you need to punt a position, Seals-Jones provides an upside option for close to minimum price.

Deep Dive

D’Ernest Johnson (CLE) $13 @ NE

As I mentioned in the RB section, there are two incredibly cheap running backs this week. One was Mark Ingram, and the other is Browns back D’Ernest Johnson. Like Ingram, Johnson was unexpectedly named the starter after some mid-week news. Take advantage of the RB value, in order to open up several elite options throughout your lineup.

Defense

Tampa Bay Buccaneers $17 @ WAS

Among teams playing in the Week 10 main slate, only two have a higher INT rate than the Washington offense. Turnovers are key for the fantasy success of defenses and the Buccaneers should be in line to produce some. Over the last 4 games, Washington has surrendered 8 turnovers and only scored over 13 points once (22 points in Week 5). So high-floor-high-upside for the Tampa Bay defense.

Cleveland Browns $13 @ NE

We go from the GOAT’s current team to his former organization’s opponent. The Browns head to New England to take on the new rookie QB in town. Looking at Yahoo’s chart of fantasy points allowed per position, the Patriots offense is 11th in fantasy points per game surrendered to opposing defenses. That is one spot below Washington. So it is a relatively good spot for the Cleveland DST price.
