Injuries

Jelani Jenkins

He got off to arguably the best defensive start we have seen all year, logging 5 tackles in the opening 17 snaps. Unfortunately, he suffered an injury as well, many speculate that he has suffered the dreaded high ankle sprain. If that’s the case, he will certainly miss a few weeks, Kelvin Sheppard would fill in for him.

Sean Lee

He has cleared concussion protocol and it looks like he is set to return this week. When he plays he is an undeniable force. He definitely brings durability concerns to the table though.

Jadeveon Clowney

He is expected to return to the team this week. He missed Monday nights game with a lower back injury. However, I’m not a fan of his matchup against the Jets, due to their high volume of runs. This may keep his production limited this week.

Prince Amukamara

He is on track to return to the lineup this week and the Giants need him back, badly. Their pass defense has been suspect since he went down.

Sen’Derrick Marks

His season came to an abrupt halt last week as he tore his ACL and was placed on the injured reserve. This is a blow to the Jags defense, it leaves a massive hole in the middle that they don’t have the personnel to fill.

Shea McClellin

He returned to the lineup last week and was the only LB on the Bears to see enough snaps to be an effective IDP play. Moving forward, he is the only Bears LB worth owning.

Mario Williams

He was useless yet again, he is by far the most disappointing IDP player this year. It just seems like the defensive scheme isn’t working for him. I have very little confidence that he will get things right this year. I’m not dropping him, but, I’m definitely looking for another option at the position. Plant him on the end of your bench if you can.

David Amerson

With the return of T.J Carrie, Amerson didn’t see enough work to be effective. He is safe to drop in all formats, as he simply will not get enough snaps.

Waiver Wire Adds

Linval Joseph-Vikings-DL

He is looking like a perfect fit for Mike Zimmers defensive system. Over the last 4 weeks he has totaled 28 tackles and 1.5 sacks. I would expect his production to continue into week 11, as he plays the Packers, who allow an average of 6 tackles a game to lineman.

Kelvin SheppardDolphins-LB

The injury to Jenkins thrust him into the game last week. He finished up with 11 tackles. He could make a sneaky play this week, as he gets a matchup against a Dallas Cowboys team that tends to lean on the run. That could change if Tony Romo is fully back to health and we could see a Cowboy D that moves away from the run and becomes more balanced.

Will Allen-Steelers-S

He got off to a really hot start this season, but, has recently begun to cool down somewhat. Although, he did manage an interception last week. The bottom line here is, this guys numbers are far to good not to be in owned in as many leagues as he is a free agent in. Roster him if you can, he is worth the spot.

Week 11 Sleeper

Will Hill-Ravens-DB

I realize that the Ravens pass defense has been among the worst in league this year. However, the matchup is good and we could get some production from them this week. They play the Rams, who will be starting Case Keenum this week. We know Keenum isn’t afraid to sling the Rock and likes to take some deep shots throughout the game. However, in this offense, he doesn’t have any real deep threats to utilize. It should leave the opportunity for a ball hawk like Allen to make some plays on the ball.
