Running backs

Matt Jones-Redskins

We were on him earlier in the season, but, his inconsistency forced us to go away from him and look into other options. He is coming off a monster performance in week 10, gaining 186 total yards and a touchdown.

It would be great if I could sit back and tell you this guy is going to go off every week, but, the truth is, the Redskins running game is amongst the most inconsistent in the league. Deep down, the fear remains that he will disappear after this big game, much like he did earlier this season.

However, he is still one of the better options available to us on the waiver wire. He is by far the most talented of any RB on this list.

Jay Ajayi-Dolphins

Jay Ajayi had high expectations back in the off season. I won’t lie, I had him taking Millers job and at this point, he still may. To this point, health concerns have taken him out of action for most of 2015.

It is true Miller did out touch him 22 to 6. However, Ajayi had more yards off his 6 carries than Miller was able to accumulate all game. I’m not sitting here telling you he is the guy to own going forward, but, he will start to cut into Miller’s touches more and more Going forward. I like Ajayi to get around 10 touches a game, with a chance to grow.

James White-Patriots

He only had 2 touches this week, I expected him to have more of a body of work than that. At this Point, it appears neither he nor Brandon Bolden are ready to take over the role that Dion Lewis had in this backfield. One positive for White was that although his touches were limited he was on the field for most of the offensive snaps. I still like James White to take over for Dion Lewis and I believe his role will grow, especially with Edelman going down Until we see this growth he is more like a stash than anything else at this point. Pick him up, but, you can’t play him until further notice.

Charles Sims-Buccaneers

Now this one only goes for my PPR guys. Charles Sims is worth owning in all PPR leagues. He gets 10 plus touches a game and pretty much makes the most of them week in and week out.

This week he only caught 2 of his 5 targets, for just over 30 yards. This was his worst performance of the season. If you’re in a deeper PPR league and need some RB help, this could be the guy you’re looking for.

Wide Receivers

Kamar Aiken/Chris Givens Ravens

He has 14 targets this week, that’s the type of volume he will need to make an impact. I expect he will maintain that type of volume moving forward. This week it was clear that he was the target that Flacco feels most comfortable with. His first 9 targets to WRs were all to Aiken

Chris Givens is another Raven WR worth considering. I’m not saying Givens is going to become the most targeted WR on this team, but, he is going to get more and more targets as he learns the playbook. This week’s touchdown was a positive sign. Both Aiken and Givens are popping up on the WR3 radar. If I had to pick one of the 2 moving forward I’m going to take Aiken. If you lose out on Aiken, Givens has the potential to grow into something nice.

Danny Amendola-Patriots

Amendola finished up this week catching 10 of his 11 targets for 79 yards. These are not numbers that jump off the stat sheet at you. However, when Edelman went down his role grew exponentially. His work really picked up once Edelman went down and he could grow into an integral part of Tom Brady‘s passing game.

We are hearing that Edelman will be out the rest of the regular season, so Amendola can become quite valuable and seems to be Edelman’s natural handcuff. If you need WR help, grab Amendola, he will give you high ceiling potential with a solid floor to land on.

Dorial Green-Beckham-Titans

With Justin Hunter likely done for the season, his stock is trending upward. However, yet again, he was held catchless. It is concerning that he gets gassed up every week and produces next to nothing.

Those facts notwithstanding, I am telling you to pick him up. He is worth a stash, because of his unbelievable athletic talent. Add in the fact that Kendall Wright is also banged up and you have to believe he is going to get targets.

What he will do with those targets is a different story, but, he is worth a bench stash, with the hopes he makes the most of these targets.

Tight end

Eric Ebron-Lions

He failed to make an impact this week, catching 4 of his 8 targets, for 28 yards. On a positive note, he has been targeted, 5 plus times, in every full game he has played this year.

There is no mystery here, they want to get him involved and I see no reason for his targets to decline. Moving forward, I view him as a low end TE1, with high-end TE upside. He is worth owning if you’re having trouble finding points at the TE position.

Crockett Gillmore– Ravens

He caught all 4 of his targets this week, for 42 yards and a touchdown. He was the Ravens go to target in the red zone. With the absence of Steve Smith, I would expect him to be the best redzone option the Ravens have.

He is worth a grab in deeper leagues, as he has a guaranteed workload on this team. He will be a touchdown dependent TE moving forward, but, should have ample opportunities to catch that touchdown on a weekly basis.

Quarterbacks

Jay Cutler-Bears

John Fox has the Bears looking pretty good over the past couple of weeks. He threw for over 230 yards and had 3 touchdowns, against a pretty stingy Rams defense.

Cutler has looked like a different QB over the past few weeks and has earned a spot on your roster. If you’re getting sub par play from your QBs and cutler is available to you, you have to go out and grab him.

I really see no reason why he can’t keep producing at the level he has produced at the last few weeks.
