We have wrapped up week 7 and get ready to kickoff week 8 of the NFL season. Week 7 was a quiet week, but, we do have some things to cover.

Fantasy Football:Inside The Trenches,IDP WK8 Preview

Injuries

Mario Addison is doubtful for week 8, that means Jared Allen should get some more snaps. Not enough to make an IDP Impact though. He will more than likely end up sharing these extra snaps.

Ryan Kerrigan ended up having surgery on his broken hand. The only thing we know is that he won’t be in uniform for week 8. The Redskins are optimistic he will be back in action for week 9.

Calvin Pryor, sprained his ankle in the week 7 loss to the Patriots. It’s unclear the severity of the sprain, or the exact location of the sprain. What we do know is he didn’t participate in Wednesday or Thursday practice.

News

Avery Williamson returned to action in week 7, after missing a week with an injury. He played every down, but, was the least productive LB the team had. Hopefully, another week recovered from the Injury will help him actually make an impact in week 8.
We can drop Curtis Lofton, as we saw his snap count fall even further, playing just 27% of the snaps.

The Jets have been running a 4-3 defense to get all their pass rushers on the field at the same time. Good news for anyone who owns a share of this Jets defensive line. It’s bad for Quinton Coples and Calvin Pace as their playing time suffers greatly.

Landon Collins-S

He has had a solid rookie season. It has been more of a high floor thing, rather than a high ceiling. He has had less than 6 fantasy points in just 1 game.

Since there is a chance that Uani Unga doesn’t play, he will have a chance to make a big impact this week. So if you need LB help monitor Unga’s injury and if he doesn’t play add Landon Collins.

Frostee Rucker-DL

Calais Campbell has been the driving force behind this Cardinals defense. The Browns will be pre occupied with stopping him, so that their attention won’t be on other players on this line.

Frostee Rucker should benefit from this, he is already tied for the team lead in sacks and it wouldn’t surprise me if he turned in a big game here.

Kemal Ishmael-CB

When he has been given the chance he has produced. He had 6 solo tackles, filling in for injured William Moore. With Moore‘s status for week 8 up in the air, Ishmael can be a sneaky add for the GM who needs help in the secondary.

Sleeper

DeMarcus Lawrence-DL

The Seahawks offensive line has been a mess this season, already allowing 31 sacks. They will be selling out to stop Greg Hardy this week. That should leave room for DeMarcus Lawrence to make some noise.
