John Wall $9,200 @ PHI

At first glance, Chris Paul taking on the Kings looks like a ? for cash games, but if you’re playing for the big ? ? ? John Wall has more upside and comes at a cheaper price than CP3. DeAndre Jordan vacuums up all the potential rebounds for any Clippers players while Wall had 12 boards the other night against New Orleans. The last time the Wizards and Sixers matched up Wall had a triple-double in just 32 minutes on the court(13 rebounds too) The Wizards are just 3 games out of a playoff spot and nobody wants it more than John Wall.

Mike Conley  $7,200 @ LAL

Conley’s price has already started to rise due to his increased usage because of Gasol’s injury. The Grizzlies just played the Lakers two nights ago and Conley flirted with a triple-double, scoring 24 points, grabbing 6 rebounds, and dishing out 8 assists. The Lakers give up an average 107.1 PPG to opponents, and a league-worst 47% opponent FG percentage. Opposing players probably circle the date they play the Laker’s on their calendars because they know it’s an easy stat-boosting opportunity.

Sneaky GPP Play- Denis Schroeder

Wes Matthews $4,500 vs. DEN

If you remember back to last year, Wes Matthews was playing the best basketball of his career, then went down with an awful Achilles injury. Matthews was putting up around 35 FPPG on a nightly basis, and defending at an extremely high level. We haven’t gotten to see much of that Wes Matthews since the injury, but he’s scored 15+ points in 3 of his last 4 outings. Could be a sneaky pick at just $4,500 tonight against Denver.

Sneaky GPP play- Langston Galloway

Small Forwards

Matt Barnes $5,400 @ LAL

We mentioned Matt Barnes in our last article as a sleeper and he exploded for 43.5 fantasy points. Barnes is taking on his former team again tonight in his old stomping grounds, the Staples Center. With Gasol out, and Jeff Green and Courtney Lee on new teams, Barnes has seen a lot of playing time and increased shot attempts. Since the All-Star break, Barnes is averaging 34 minutes/game and is the clear starter for the Grizzlies, and it doesn’t hurt that the Lakers give up the 2nd most fantasy points to opposing small forwards. Barnes

Carmelo Anthony $8,300 vs. ORL
FREE NBA lineup

Understandably, Tobias would have most likely left this summer in free agency, but a lineup of Payton, Oladipo, Gordon, Vucevic, and Harris was a very entertaining team to watch. With Tobias Harris gone, the Magic have to play Fournier at the small forward spot, which creates a lot of match-up problems on the defensive end. Carmelo is still shooting close to 20 shots/game for the Knicks but is averaging a career high 4.2 APG this season. He’s rebounding the ball at an excellent rate, passing the ball like never before, and he’s only $8,300 tonight against an Orlando team playing on a back to back.

Aaron Gordon $6,500 @ NY

We’re still trying to figure out why Scott Skiles was stashing Gordon on the bench most of the season and let ChannignFrye get all the minutes. Aaron Gordon has been a consistently averaged a double-double for about the past month or so. The best part about Gordon is he is only 20 years old, so his body recovers much faster and he can play back-to-backs easily, unlike someone like a 31-year-old Al Jefferson. Gordon was able to score 19 points and grab 8 boards last night, even with Draymond Green on him, can’t wait to watch him and Porzingas match up tonight in the Garden.

Sneaky GPP Play- JaMychal Green

Centers

Nikola Vucevic $7,700 @ NY

Vucevic has dominated the Knicks in his two games against them this season, averaging 45 DK points/game. Vucevic is averaging 43.1 fantasy points/game since the Tobias Harris trade and is averaging close to 20 shot attempts/game, which is incredible for a center. The Magic are only four games out of a playoff spot, and both teams tonight are trying to gain a game in the standings, so expect a close game tonight in which the starters see the majority of the minutes.

Nikola Jokic $5,700 @ DAL

The other night against Sacramento, Jokic played just 20 minutes…but what a 20 minutes it was, as Nikola scored 13 points, grabbed 13 boards, dished out 6 assists, and nabbed 2 steals. The only reason Jokic was pulled was because he got into foul trouble trying to guard Cousins. The Mavericks have given up some big games to centers over the last month, Jahlil scored 31, Vucevic had 21 and 13, and Karl-Anthony Towns dropped 27 and 17. If Jokic can get minutes and stay out of foul trouble, he should have an excellent game in Dallas.
