Free NFL DFS FanPicks Advice for Week 10

Alright, GF2 fans, it’s time once again for my free NFL DFS FanPicks advice! I had some great success with my Week 9 FanPicks lineup, missing first place my just 1.3 points. With great plays such as Jeremy Langford and Alshon Jeffery by my side, I was able to take home some more cash last week. Week 10 is quickly approaching and I’m hoping to continue on with some solid advice to help you all win some cold hard cash.

So, let’s get down to business, here’s my free NFL DFS FanPicks advice for Week 10:

728X90 Static

MVP: In reality the MVP is the best player at their given sport. This will be my overall favorite player at each position. I’ll look at his season stats, defensive matchup, recent performances and his career history versus this week’s opponent.

Value Pick: A value pick will be a player who has the potential to be a middle priced guy who could outperform the MVP style players.

Punt Play: This is a widely used term in the DFS world. This will be a player who will be low-owned in the larger tournaments, but will be a high-risk play.

Bust Candidate: This will be a potential top-rated player who I believe will have a down week. I’ll take a look at their recent performances and defensive matchup.

Quarterbacks

MVP: Tom Brady, Patriots ($8,500)

Brady had a decent Week 9, but he didn’t quite perform like I expected him to against the Redskins. This week, he’ll face off against another NFC East team in the New York Giants. The Patriots versus Giants has become a rivalry over the years that Brady just hasn’t been able to win, but I believe this is the year where he picks them apart. This season, New York ranks 30th at defending against opposing quarterbacks, allowing an average 24.7 fantasy points per game. If you want to pay top notch dollars for a quarterback, look no further than Brady.

Value Pick: Blake Bortles, Jaguars ($5,800)

I’m going to go out on the limb and say that Bortles is my favorite play of Week 10. I’ll be streaming him in all of my FanPicks lineups due to his juicy matchup. Bortles will be facing off against an ultra-weak Baltimore Ravens squad who can’t stop the pass. In 2015, the Ravens rank 31st at defending against the pass, so Bortles should be able to have a field day against them. I’m very confident in streaming Bortles and stacking him with one of his two receiving options.

Punt Play: Kirk Cousins, Redskins ($5,500)

Cousins is always a hit and miss type of player who very rarely works out for me in DFS. This week, he’s playing a Saints team who ranks dead last in the NFL versus opposing quarterbacks, allowing an average of 28.7 fantasy points per contest. Cousins is by far the best of the cheap options if you’re looking to spend higher amounts of salary elsewhere.

Bust Candidate: Russell Wilson, Seahawks ($6,000)

Wilson has had an atrocious 2015 fantasy campaign and it won’t get much easier for him in Week 10. He’ll be facing off against his NFC West division leading rival the Arizona Cardinals. Arizona has been great versus quarterbacks this season, ranking 8th overall. I’d feel much more confident rolling with any of the previous three guys we’ve discussed here due to Wilson’s dreadful offensive line.

Running Backs

MVP: Adrian Peterson, Vikings ($6,600)

AP underwent a bit of a dry spell for a couple of weeks but bounced back strong in Week 9. Last week versus a stout Rams defense, he rushed 29 times for 125 yards and a touchdown. This week he’s facing off against the Raiders, who allow an average of 19.3 fantasy points per game to opposing running backs. Peterson is at a fair price this week and should give you great value at the running back position.

Value Pick: DeAngelo Williams, Steelers ($5,900)

After Peterson, Williams is by far the next best option and possibly my favorite overall plays of the week! Coming off a monster game just a week ago, he will take on a Browns team who is awful versus the run in 2015. This year, Cleveland ranks 28th at defending against opposing running backs, allowing an average of 23.8 fantasy points per game. Williams is easily going to steamroll over the Browns dreadful defense.

Punt Play: Jeremy Langford, Bears ($4,400)

Like I said earlier, Langford was a key piece to my winning lineups for Week 9, so I’m going to stay with the hot hand for this week. He is facing off against a stout Rams run defense who ranks 11th overall this year. Just a week ago, though, Peterson decimated this St. Louis defense, so they do have some weaknesses. I’m not saying Langford is on AP’s level, but he has been nothing short of impressive in his rookie season.

Bust Candidate: Marshawn Lynch, Seahawks ($6,300)

I can find so many better options for this slate of games to spend my salary on. Lynch hasn’t been quite the consistent option this season for season long or DFS purposes. Lynch will be facing off against the Cardinals, who rank 7th versus opposing running backs, allowing just 15.2 fantasy points per contest. I’m steering clear of all the Seahawks players this weekend for DFS purposes.

Wide Receivers

MVP: Demaryius Thomas, Broncos ($7,400)

Thomas hasn’t had too many breakout games so far in 2015, but he has been the model of consistency. It’s not too hard to pick a top tier player like Thomas, who is going up against the league’s worst defense versus wideouts this season in the Kansas City Chiefs. In 2015, the Chiefs give up an average of 31.7 fantasy points per game to opposing wide receivers. Both Thomas and D’Angelo Williams will be the two constant players who will be in my lineups for Week 10!

Value Pick: Allen Robinson, Jaguars ($6,900)

Jacksonville is one of the teams who I’m all in on for this week’s DFS slate. Stacked with Bortles, Robinson could very well have a monster game this week against the Baltimore Ravens. This season, Baltimore gives up an average of 31.4 fantasy points per contest to opposing wideouts, so I see a big week coming for Jaguars receivers! Load up against this weak Ravens secondary this week!

Punt Play: Kamar Aiken, Ravens ($4,200)

I truly believe this game with the Jaguars versus the Ravens is going to be a shootout and possibly a massive fantasy day for some players. With Steve Smith now out for the season, someone has to step up to be the number one receiver in Baltimore and that guy is Aiken. Not only is he facing off against a Jacksonville team who has given up a ton of fantasy points over the last few weeks, he also has Joe Flacco as his quarterback. When Flacco plays at home, he is lights out and Aiken will be the top beneficiary in Week 10!

Bust Candidate: Alshon Jeffery, Bears ($7,400)

I think Week 10 will be Jeffery’s first setback since returning from his injury. Alshon has been fantastic over the last few weeks and was very crucial to my winning lineups last week. But, this week he faces off against a very good St. Louis defense who ranks 4th against wideouts. This season, the Rams allow an average of just 15.7 total fantasy points against opposing wide receivers, so temper your expectations with Jeffery in Week 10.

Tight Ends

MVP: Rob Gronkowski, Patriots ($7,800)

There are a lot of fantastic options at the tight end position for Week 10 so we’ll just choose the best one in the world for our MVP. Gronk is one of the most unstoppable forces in the NFL and won’t be contained this week against the Giants. This year, New York ranks 30th against opposing tight ends, which is an appetite for destruction if you run out the Brady/Gronk duo for DFS this week!

Value Pick: Jordan Reed, Redskins ($4,800)

If you gamble and stream Cousins as your quarterback option, then go ahead and insert Reed into your lineup as well. Reed has the potential every single week to be a top-five option at his position and this one won’t be any different. In 2015, New Orleans ranks 31st against tight ends, allowing an average of 12.7 fantasy points per contest. Besides Gronkowski, Reed is my favorite tight end option of Week 10.

Punt Play: Kyle Rudolph, Vikings ($3,200)

Rudolph is a dirt cheap option at his position but has the most favorable matchup of the entire week. He will face off against the league’s worst defense against tight ends in the Oakland Raiders. I’m not saying Rudolph is going to put out astronomical numbers, but he does have a great chance to score a touchdown this week!

Bust Candidate: Jimmy Graham, Seahawks ($5,000)

Like all of the other Seahawks players, I’m not touching Graham this week for DFS purposes. The Cardinals have a great defense going up against tight ends this year. So far this season, Arizona ranks 2nd at defending against opposing tight ends, allowing an average of just 4.6 fantasy points per game. There’s really no one in the Arizona vs. Seattle game that I’m interested in starting except for maybe the defenses.

Defenses

MVP: Denver Broncos ($3,800)

How can I not pick the best fantasy defense in the league as my MVP of Week 10? They had a small hiccup last week against the Colts, but I feel like they will bounce back with a big game against their AFC West rival Chiefs.

Value Pick: Pittsburgh Steelers ($3,000)

I chose the Bengals in Week 9 going up against this Johnny Manziel led Browns squad and they had a decent night. Pittsburgh has been quietly good this season on the defensive side of the ball, so I see them having some success in Week 10!

Punt Play: Cleveland Browns ($2,200)

I really believe that we may see a defensive struggle this Sunday in the Steelers versus Browns game. I’m not huge on the Browns overall on the defensive side of the ball, but they are potentially facing a backup quarterback in Landry Jones. It could be worth a shot if you feel like being risky!

Bust Candidate: New England Patriots ($3,200)

The Patriots have the ability in Week 10 to be a great play or a bust candidate. The New York Giants always seem to bring their “A” game against this Patriots squad, so I’m staying away from New England’s defense in Week 10.

Hopefully, this advice will help you all win some big money this weekend! Good luck and thanks for reading!
