Normally when your team puts up 36.91 points it’s good enough to win some money in 50/50s. But not last night. Â For the second night in a row pitching let me down. Â Roark was looking good until he fell apart toward the end of his start. The 5.66 he put up killed me. Â But on to tonight’s slate.Aces will be running tonight so it’s important you find cheap talent in your hitters. Â The cash line will probably be high again tonight, I’m guessing around 41-43 points.
Pitcher: David Price $10,900
He’s been putting up quality starts since mid-May, including 23 in his last start. Â Going against an Indians lineup whose best hitters are lefties Price could be in line for another good start.
Catcher: Jacob Realmuto $2,800
With multiple hit games in three of his last five games, Realmuto has been swinging the bat well and is a good option at this price point.
First Baseman: Adam LaRoche $2,900
At only $2,900, LaRoche is another good, cheap option for someone looking for power out of the first base slot. Â And he’s gotten a base hit in eight of his last nine games.
Second Baseman: Neil Walker $2,700
He’s been struggling lately, but the Phillies pitching staff hasn’t done much better. Â Something’s gotta give here, and I give the edge to Walker.
Third Baseman: Matt Carpenter $3,700
To say Carpenter has struggled in June would be an understatement. Â He’s only gotten a base hit in three of his ten starts this month and he injured his triceps when he was hit by a pitch. Â But I think he’s due for a big game at some point during a big series at home vs in state rival Kansas City which is why he is my Ultimate Gut Call.
Shortstop: Elvis Andrus $2,600
Another player who I believe is due for a breakout game, Andrus has scored over 1.75 points since June 5th. Â A home series against Twins should help that. Â Milone doesn’t strike out many batters and has given up 31 hits in 27 innings pitched so Andrus has a chance to shine here.
Outfielder: Nick Markakis $2,600
He’s been batting cleanup recently for the Braves and has done well, posting 2.5 points or higher the past four days. Â And at $2,600 you can’t complain about that. Â Still waiting on that first homer of the season. Â Could it come tonight against Colon?
Outfielder: Adam Jones $3,200
His bat stayed hot with another homer last night, his fourth in the last eight games. Â At his price point he’s a must start until his bat cools off.

Outfielder: Steve Souza $3,300
Souza has put together two good games after a very tough four game stretch. Â With his occasional home run power he’s not a bad option at this spot.
Other Options:
Pitcher: Michael Pineda $9,800
A little cheaper than Kershaw and Price and he’s facing a Baltimore team whom he had 16 strikeouts against back on May 10th. Â Be careful here because Jones is batting much better than he was in May and Wieters is back in the lineup.
Third Baseman: Trevor Plouffe $2,700
Plouffe has had a decent two games after an awful six game stretch. Â He could be in for a good game against the Rangers.
Confidence Level: 4 out of 5. Â I have a feeling I’ll get back on track tonight.
