MLB FanDuel Gut Feeling 7/21

Work has picked back up for me but I will try to get my articles in for you to read! If it’s not on here check my Twitter page @BLB_85 I’ll be sure to post it there daily as well in addition to any possible lineup changes.

I missed the cut in Round 5 of the FanDuel Survivor Pool.  If I had started Pujols last night over Goldschmidt I would’ve advanced.  But you can’t blame someone on that decision.  But on to tonight’s action:

Pitcher: Chris Heston $7,300
Heston pitched seven strong innings against the Padres back on June 25th and has pitched well over the past month.  I also like Michael Wacha against the White Sox but I’m going Heston to get a couple of better hitters in the lineup.

Catcher: Victor Martinez $3,500
Martinez doesn’t have much of a history against the Mariner’s pitcher tonight (1-3) but the Tigers have been doing very well offensively lately so hopefully Martinez can add to that tonight.

First Baseman: Ryan Howard $2,700
Howard is riding a six game hitting streak with two homers and seven RBI during this span.  Nathan Karns could be a tough matchup but the Phillies will be looking to score plenty to help Aaron Nola in his debut.

Second Baseman: Brian Dozier $3,900
Dozier’s price has dropped thanks to an up and down last couple of weeks.  So I’m jumping on Dozier tonight as my Ultimate Gut Call.  The Angels pitching staff has been hot but Dozier should do well in this spot.

Third Baseman: Kris Bryant $3,200
Another player who’s price has dropped, Bryant has been slumping in July.  Reds pitcher Raisel Iglesias has given up 10 runs his last two starts.  A good chance for Bryant to rebound.

Shortstop: Jung-ho Kang $2,800
Seven games and counting for Kang’s hit streak, with two hits in each of his last two games.  This series with the Royals will be on the high scoring end so Kang could contribute to the scoring.

Outfielder: Lorenzo Cain $4,300
Cain is on the other end of the Pirates-Royals series.  Cain is riding a nine game hitting streak with two homers in his last three games.  Cain is rolling and I’m hopping on the hit wave.

Outfielder: Adam Jones: $3,300
Jones has four straight multi-hit games.  If you haven’t noticed yet, I’m riding hitting streaks and hot bats tonight and Jones’s bat has been as hot as any.

Outfielder: Michael Brantley $3,600
Brantley’s last three games in point production are 4.75, 7, and 5.5.  Brewers pitcher Matt Garza returns from the DL tonight and I’ve noticed that more often than not pitchers coming off the DL have been tagged for runs early in their starts.  Brantley and the other Indians hitters could be in line for a good night.

Confidence: 4 out of 5
Hot hitter galore in this lineup.  Let’s hope they keep it going.  Good luck everyone!
