MLB Fanduel Lineup Advice 4/18

Welcome to the weekend! Hopefully you guys had Scherzer, AGon, or both in your lineups last night because they dominated. Let’s get to Saturday’s slate right away, and today I will be posting an all day lineup and one for the games that start at 7ET or after.

Pitchers

Jordan Zimmerman, WAS – $9,900

If you’re looking to save some cash and steer clear of King Felix, Sale, and Greinke, the next elite pitcher up is Jordan Zimmerman of the Nationals, and he has an outstanding matchup against the lousy Phillies. Yes, I’m telling you to start a legit Nationals pitcher against Philadelphia two days in a row, but why not? Zimmerman could easily get 15-17 points tonight, so have him locked and loaded.

Danny Salazar, CLE – $8,100

Salazar is returning to the Indians rotation quicker than expected, after he began the season in the minors due to a lackluster spring training. The back end of the Indians rotation has been sputtering, and the organization is calling up Salazar for his first start of 2015 to the tune of a weak-hitting Minnesota Twins squad. Every facet is there with Salazar for what I look for in a pitcher for lineups: good matchup, strikeouts, win probability. The Indians hurler is a safe bet in both cash lineups and GPP lineups alike today.

Hitters

Lucas Duda, 1B, NYM – $4,300

Duda has had a great start to his 2015 campaign, maintaining a .381 average with one HR and 8 RBI thus far. Now while he hasn’t hit Mat Latos particularly well in his career, Duda has the natural advantage as a lefty hitter and I think he’s poised for a solid day against the struggling Marlins starter. Duda is entrenched in the middle of the Mets’ lineup, meaning abundant opportunities for RBI and R. Get him in your lineups, and watch the Mets first baseman hot start continue.

Devon Travis, 2B, TOR – $2,800

Rookie Devon Travis has incredible value at his price tag now that he is batting leadoff for the injured Jose Reyes in the Blue Jays lineup. I started him last night and was rewarded with a 2 for 5 night at the plate with a homer and 2 RBI from the Toronto second baseman. He’s going up against a lefty in Alex Wood tonight and the game is at Rogers Centre, two factors that move Travis very close to a must-start status for tonight. You won’t find better value from a second baseman anywhere, so plug the rookie into all lineups tonight.

Bryce Harper, OF, WSH – $4,200

Harper had an awesome game last night, launching a three-run home run in the first inning to dead center field. The young Nationals stud seems to be locked in at the plate in the early going, and this might be the year he fully lives up to the unreal hype surrounding him. He has another fantastic matchup tonight batting 3rd against Aaron Harang. I expect Harper to be the reason the Phillies’ starter doesn’t sleep tonight, so try to get him in your lineups.
