NBA Fanduel 1/30/15 **updated**

** hopefully everything is working now. You don’t even want to know what I had to go thru to get this to work. I’m jumping thru hoops, copy and pasting from one app to another.

**having technically difficulties again. None of the formatting is working. Hope to be resolved soon. Sorry guys.

So I was wrong on Gasol. Sue me. The logic made sense, except I didn’t think the Lakers would be able to hang with the Bulls, I was wrong. Aside from all the Bulls players I put in my blog yesterday; Taj, Noah, and Gasol, I pretty much hit on every other guy.

You were happy if you played Mayo, Bayless, or Stuckey, and if you took my advice to Pass on Lawson, you’re happy there too. My lineup last night played well again, one more good night and I’ll start putting my lineup back in the blog.

In addition to my normal Dunks and Passes today, I’m going to introduce another segment to my blog.

Sticking with the “Highlights” theme(dunk of the night, pass of the night, etc), I’m going to call this segment “Today’s Top 10 Plays”. This will be where I give you my top10 ten, duh, players for that day, regardless of position or price tag.

So theoretically, because I’m not listing them by position, there could be 3 maybe 4 points guards I like for example. It’ll be 10 guys that I feel have the best matchup and chance for a big game. They will likely be top-tier or second-tier players. Ok we’ll kick it off today with “Today’s Top 10 Plays”.

Today’s Top 10 Plays

10) Goran Dragic – The Bulls players have to wearing down now. Two back to back overtime games with one day rest in between, and now on the second day of a back to back they get the Suns. The Suns like to run, a lot. I expect Dragic, and his back court mate, to put up some points here.

9) Derrick Rose – This is the game Derrick Rose will be allowed to be Derrick Rose. With Butler out, and assumingly with Gasol playing less mintues, Rose will be the source for points. He should easily eclipse the 30 FDP mark, and that should be his floor.

8) Derrick Favors – There will be a ton of shots from the Warriors in this game, and Favors will have ample opportunity to grab double digit rebounds. The Warriors will go small at times, like they did versus the Bulls, and like Gasol and Noah, Favors will eat them for lunch on the glass.

7) Rudy Gay – No Lebron to match up with him, and having to keep pace with Irving and company, Gay is going to have to score, and he will. He had 37 against them the last time they played. I expect similar.

6) Gorgui Dieng – What do you get when you put 2 of the worst teams in the league on the same court. A ton of missed shots which equals a ton of rebounds to be had. He should dominate on the glass tonight. Anything less then 15 boards will be a disappointment.

5) Klay Thompson – Do I really need to explain this one? Dude scored 37 points in one quarter. The only thing keeping him from number one is his teammates, they also have a shot at going off any night.

4) Eric Bledsoe – See Goran Dragic at number ten.

3) Blake Griffin – Assumimg Anthony Davis sits tonight, Blake will have little to no resistance scoring or rebounding tonight. He could flirt with a 20/10/5 type of night, and because the Clippers bench is so shallow, even in the event of a blowout, he’ll still get big minutes.

2) LaMarcus Aldridge – If a thumb injury that needs surgery results in playing the way he has the past two games, then injure both of mine! The dudes a beast and they will need him versus the best in the east. They will go to him early and often.

1) Kyrie Irving – Fresh off his double nickel, Kryie will be leaned on again, as the Cavs will be without Bron at least one more game. Obviously not expecting 55 again, but I’ll take 30.

That wraps up Today’s Top 10 Plays. Get one or two of those guys in your lineup tonight. Now we’ll get into the “Dunks and Passes” for today’s games. I’m going to keep it short. All the technical issues today has pushed everything back.

DUNKS

POINT GUARDS

Mario Chalmers With no Wade, he’ll be counted on to score. Good value, as he had 36 FDP last game without Wade.

Greivis Vasquez His minutes have gone up each of the last 3 games. Should see another 25-30 minutes, and you could see 25 FDP at his $4800 price tag.

SHOOTING GUARD

Jamal Crawford Reddick missed the last game, and he may miss tonight’s game too. If he does, Crawford will start a shooting guard. Should get you around 25-30 FDP tonight versus Eric Gordon, who is not a great defender.

JR Smith Coming off a string of bad fantasy games, he should get plenty of shots with no Lebron, and we can’t expect Kyrie to score 55 again. Smith will pick up the slack in scoring.

SMALL FORWARD

Joe Ingles Tough match up, but price point and production is hard to ignore.

Robert CovingtonDUNK OF THE NIGHT – Not a 100% value play, as small forward is so shallow, but at $5,600, you can’t do better then him in a great matchup.

POWER FORWARD

Patrick Patterson He let me down the other night, after a string of good games, but he has a good matchup and the potential to get you 25-30 FDP at a $4,600 price tag.

Center

Timofey Mosgov He was on the Dunk list for his last game, and didn’t disappoint. I’ll put him on here again, as he’ll be needed to matchup with Boogie. And even if Boogie doesn’t play, he should flirt with another double double.

PASSES

POINT GUARD

Damien Lillard Tough matchup with Atlanta, and Alridge is option number 1.

SHOOTING GUARD

Kevin Martin I think he’ll be good tonight, but it’s too risky at his $6,500 price tag. I want to see more before I trust him.

SMALL FOWARD

Nothing I’d pass on tonight. Not a very deep position.

POWER FORWARD

Kevin Love PASS OF THE NIGHT He is playing just “ok” lately, not well enough for his price tag.

Center

Nothing I’d pass on tonight.
