NBA Fanduel Line-up Advice and Analysis for 4/3/15

NBA Fanduel Lineup Advice 4/3/15
NBA Games for 4/3/14

Friday night on Fanduel is going to be a day of great match-ups across the board, especially at the point guard position. As I was doing my preliminary Top Ten, I wrote down 7 points guards right off the bat! Not all of them made the Top Ten, but damn, I could almost make a Top Ten from the point guard position alone.

Still early on Thursday night as I write this, and I have a couple good line-ups going. Hopefully the Suns/Warriors game is high scoring. I’m currently winning all my double ups, which if I don’t cash in any GPP’s, but win all my double doubles, I’ll still come out on top.

Something a little off subject here, but I have a favor to ask of everyone. I added a StumbleUpon icon to my side-bar, if you’re a StumbleUpon user, can I ask that you click the icon? I’m trying to get my blog  more traffic, and the more hits to that icon, the higher I’ll rank. I’ll be very appreciative if you could do that for me.

With that out-of-the-way, I have a few exciting things on the horizon for the blog. You may have noticed the MLB DFS tab on the menu. I’ll be using a few different guest bloggers to put up a ton of MLB content for DraftKings and Fanduel. I’ve already posted some content from DFSheet, there will be more to come.

Now that I got the blog promos out-of-the-way, let’s get to the good stuff.

Tonight’s Top Ten Plays

NBA Fanduel Lineup Advice 4/3/15
Andrew Wiggins

10) SF Andrew Wiggins $7000 He had 2 tough games versus New Orleans and Utah, but came back versus a weak Toronto defense and had a huge game. Tonight he gets the Orlando Magic, a team that ranks last in DvP against shooting guards over the last 3 weeks. At $7000, an upside of 40 Fanduel Points, and a great matchup,  Wiggins gets the 10th spot on tonight’s Top Plays.

NBA Fanduel Advice and Analysis 4/3/15
Russell Westbrook

9) PF Russell Westbrook $12700 Wait?? Number 9? Yes, you read that right. Do I think Westbrook can get you 50+, yes I do, but he checks in at number 9 because the point guard position is so deep, spending less and upgrading elsewhere could end up being the better bang for your buck. I couldn’t bring myself to leave him off the list entirely, but it did cross my mind. Bad matchup with Memphis doesn’t help, especially when you see all the great match-ups  every other point guard has.

NBA Fanduel Advice and Analysis 4/3/15
Tyreke Evans

8) PG Tyreke Evans $7800 The first of the afore mentioned great match-ups, Tyreke and company have to keep winning, and hope that OKC runs out of gas if they hope to make the playoffs. He had 2 “good matchups” in his last 2, and he disappointed, but he gets to play Sacramento, a team he loves to play. He had 42.6 against them just 3 games ago. He loves to remind the Kings of what they used to have. Not to mention, the Kings are bottom 9 against the point guard position overall the last 3 weeks, and are bottom 6 at giving up real NBA points to shooting guards. Tyreke will be in the 40’s tonight in a must win.

NBA Fanduel Advice and Analysis 4/3/15
DeMarcus Cousins

7) C DeMarcus Cousins $11900 Three 70 point games in his last 4  is unheard of. Normally when you think triple double for a center, you think points/rebounds/blocks, but Cousins did it with assists. I wouldn’t expect that again, considering he had only 8 assists combined in his 3 precious games. Also, not that match-ups matter with Cousins, but it’s worth noting, the Pels are bottom 4 against centers over the last 3 weeks. With him and Anthony Davis in the same game, could we have 2 players with 60+ on the same court? I think so.

NBA Fanduel Advice and Analysis 4/3/15
Reggie Jackson

6) PG Reggie Jackson $8300 I’ve documented extensively how bad the Bulls are versus the point guard position, and the only thing slowing down Jackson in his last 7 games is an illness, which he played through in his last game. The Bulls rank bottom 3 against the point guard position, but they really should be last, as they haven’t faced a ton of good point guards lately. Jackson has 50 point upside tonight, but I’ll settle for anything in the 40’s.

NBA Fanduel Advice and Analysis 4/3/15
Brook Lopez

5) C Brook Lopez $8400 Bro-Lo has been a must start over the last few weeks. His price has climbed accordingly, and soon he’ll reach a point where is upside will cap out. We aren’t there yet. At $8400, his baseline value is 37 Fanduel Points. He had that in a down game versus the Knicks last time out and still had 37 Fanduel points. Bro-Lo is another candidate to be in the mid 40’s tonight.

NBA Fanduel Advice and Analysis 4/3/15
Pau Gasol

4) PF Pau Gasol $8800 I debated leaving Pau off this list entirely, or at least ranking him lower, but Detroit’s interior defense is just that bad. So despite Gasol’s sub-par performances over his last 3, his potential versus this defense has him ranked at number 4. He could easily have 50 tonight, and coach Tibs is old school and doesn’t believe in resting players. Pau will get 30+ minutes tonight, even in the event of a blowout.

NBA Fanduel Advice and Analysis 4/3/15
LaMarcus Aldridge

3) PF LaMarcus Aldridge $9300 A mainstay in my Top Ten, Aldridge is the most under-the-radar super star there is in the NBA today. Talk about an oxymoron. He put up 40 last night versus the better version of LA basketball, he should push for 50 tonight.

NBA Fanduel Advice and Analysis 4/3/15
John Wall

2) PG John Wall $9700 At first glance, you might think Wall had a down game versus the 76ers last game, until you realize he only played 30 minutes and still got 36 Fanduel Points. I’m not great at math, but even I know that’s more than 1 fantasy point per minute. There is some blowout potential with New York, but if Wall gets 35 minutes tonight, he’ll have 50+ Fanduel points.

NBA Fanduel Advice and Analysis 4/3/15
Anthony Davis

1) PF Anthony Davis $12200 As I mentioned with Tyreke, this is a must win game for the Pels. They have to beat the teams they are supposed to beat, if they want to catch the Thunder. The Kings are bottom 6 versus the power forward position over the last 3 weeks, and I feel like David is due for a huge game tonight.

Honorable Mentions

  • PG Damian Lillard $8400
  • PG Elfrid Payton $7900
  • PG Jordan Clarkson $7500
  • SG DeMar DeRozan $7800
  • SG Jimmy Butler $8600
  • SF Kawhi Leonard $8200

Dunks of the Night

  • PG Aaron Brooks $5900 As bad as he is defensively, he is decent offensively. Not much upside, but his floor is pretty high, so he is usable in a good matchup.
  • PG Mike Conley $5900 I was a few games too early on Conley as a value play, but over the last 3 games he has been pretty good, even in the tough matchup with Golden State a few nights ago. The Thunder present less resistance to points guards then Golden State, so Conley will be good tonight.
  • PG Zach LaVine $5800 As long as Rubio is out he’ll be useful in a good matchup.
  • SG Lou Williams $5000 As long as Lowry is out tonight, Lou Williams will be counted on to pick up the slack offensively.
  • SF Chase Budinger $5300 Still a little under priced for his current production. Good matchup.
  • PF Marvin Williams $4800 His price is rising, but is still in a usable range.
  • C Justin Hamilton $4900 Dieng ruled out. Pekovic gone for the season. Good matchup. Tons of minutes. Good price. The definition of my Dunk List.
  • C Kelly Olynyk $4500 Hopefully someone elbows him in the eye again, it seemed to help his play.

Passes of the Night

  • SG Evan Turner $7200 Don’t fall in love with his triple double, it was a weak triple double, and this is a tough matchup.
  • PF Tim Duncan $7000 Just never trust him to play enough or at all.
  • PF Kenneth Faried $6500 Bad matchup versus San Antonio.
  • C Enes Kanter $7400 Bad matchup with Memphis.
  • C Al Jefferson $7400 Just doesn’t look right. They need to shut him down, in my opinion.

Punts of the Night

  • PG Greivis Vasquez $4100 Nothing to get excited about, but usable as long as Lowry is out.
  • SG OJ Mayo $4100 Remember him? Well, he got 27 minutes in his last game, at $4100, he is worth a look.
  • SF Omri Casspi $4000 Assuming Gay is out, Casspi is a great value.
  • SF Terrence Ross $3700 His price tag makes him usable. If he gets 18-20, he is worth it if it allows you to upgrade elsewhere.
  • PF Robert Kelly $4300 Not a great matchup, but could get junk time minutes.
  • C Bismack Biyombo $4000 Will continue to get good minutes as long as Al Jefferson is limited.
