NBA Fanduel Lineup Advice and Analysis 3/30/15
NBA Games for 3/30/15

A good Monday night slate on Fanduel has me pretty excited. Yes, there is only 7 games on today, but it’s a good 7 games. There are a few top-tier players, a good amount of mid-tier, and tons of value. That, by definition, is a good slate, no matter how many games it is.

Before I dive into this great slate, I need to go a little off subject for  a second. I’m looking for a guest blogger to do  write-ups for MLB. Maybe once a week or more if they’d like. Maybe even multiple guest bloggers. With the many readers I have, I figured some of you may run your own blog, or know someone who does.

With the NBA Season winding down and the NFL season seemingly very far away, I’d like to keep the traffic to my site through the summer. I can honestly say I know very little about baseball, and would do everyone a injustice by trying to blog about it.

The guest blogging can be done in a few different ways, and I won’t go into details here, because I don’t want to bore the other readers who are not bloggers themselves. If you’re interested, or know someone who might be, you can email me at GoingFor2FantasySports@gmail.com. We can work out details of the arrangement through email.

Ok, now that that’s out-of-the-way, let’s get to the good stuff. I have a feeling I’ll be going in big with this slate. As I write this, I’m currently cashing in a few leagues with the Thunder/Suns game just tipping off. Hope everyone had a good Fanduel weekend. Let’s get to it.

Today’s Top Ten

NBA Fanduel Lineup Advice and Analysis 3/30/15
Damian Lillard

10) PG Damian Lillard $8400 Eric Bledsoe is the only player in the NBA with a larger disparity between his floor and ceiling than Lillard. Both can easily go out, in a great matchup, and give you 24. Then, turn around 2 nights later in a tough matchup and give you 50. Point and case, be had 25 and 18 versus Denver and Phoenix respectively. Both good matchups on paper. The 2 games before that, versus Utah and Golden State, he had 50 and 45 respectively. Go figure. My hunch is, with the bad game versus the Suns 2 games ago, he’ll have a big one tonight. GPP play only.

DeMar DeRozan

9) SF DeMar DeRozan $7500 After a couple of bad outings, including one versus the Lakers, people might be a little gun-shy with him. I wouldn’t be. The Rockets defense is just not very good in the backcourt with Beverly out. Then there is the fact that it’s a home game for the Raptors and they will have had 3 days between their last game, that feels like a recipe for success.

NBA Fanduel Lineup Advice and Analysis 3/30/15
Kemba Walker

8) PG Kemba Walker $7500 Kemba still hasn’t put together a complete game, from a fantasy perspective, since coming back from injury. He seems to either score, and not get the peripherals, or get the peripherals and struggle to score. The Celtics are a decent candidate for him to put it all together, and that’s just what I’m expecting him to do.

NBA Fanduel Lineup Advice and Analysis 3/30/15
Nerlens Noel

7) PF Nerlens Noel $8300 With 4 of his last 6 games going over 40, and one of those going over 50, I’m salivating to get him into a lineup versus the Lakers. His price has gone up a bit with his recent production, but still a good price for someone who can get you 40+, and he should do just that, I expect 40-45 Fanduel points.

NBA Fanduel Lineup Advice and Analysis 3/30/15
Gordon Hayward

6) SF Gordon Hayward $8100 He had 2 pretty good games back to back after sitting 2 out with injury. The Wolves present a great matchup for him to have an even better game tonight. The Jazz will keep this game low scoring, but Hayward will get most of the points for Utah. On a side-note, don’t even think about starting a single Minnesota player tonight. The Jazz defense is just too good.

NBA Fanduel Lineup Advice and Analysis 3/30/15
Marc Gasol

5) C Marc Gasol $7500 Coming off 2 sub-par games, and with his price dropping some, it’s the perfect time to use Gasol. The Kings are far from a good defense. Hell, they are far from an OK defense. Gasol will own Cousins on the offensive end, and there is a chance Boogie takes the night off, in which case, I like Gasol even more. I’m expecting a strong double double tonight with 40ish Fanduel points.

NBA Fanduel Lineup Advice and Analysis 3/30/15
DeMarcus Cousins

4) C DeMarcus Cousins $11400 Memphis presents a very tough matchup for Boogie, but he has proven he can be matchup proof. He doesn’t have any great games versus the Griz, but he doesn’t have any bad ones either. He could have a great game tonight, as the Grizzlies have been struggling over their last few games. Be sure to check his status though, rumor is, he may rest tonight.

NBA Fanduel Lineup Advice and Analysis 3/30/15
Rudy Gobert

3) C Rudy Gobert $8400 The Stifle Tower is back to dominating without needing to score. He gets the Timberwolves tonight, and I’m predicting a shut-out! Ok, not really, but the Wolves are going to have an extremely hard time scoring, and Gobert will have a lot to do with it. He could have a triple double tonight with the rare Points/Rebounds/Blocks version.

NBA Fanduel Lineup Advice and Analysis 3/30/15
LaMarcus Aldridge

2) PF LaMarcus Aldridge The Blazers, before every game, should just sprain or fracture one of Aldridge’s fingers. Kidding of course, but man, doesn’t it feel like every time he has an injury to a finger, he comes out and kills it. Yes, he did have a tough game versus Utah, but everyone does. He had 43 and 46 Fanduel points in his last 2 games, and he gets to play the team he had 43 against in the Suns. I’d expect 43+ again tonight.

NBA Fanduel Lineup Advice and Analysis 3/30/15
James Harden

1) SG James Harden $11600 Harden is Harden, so I’m not going to get into the reasons why he is number one on this list. Anything less than 55 tonight and you’ll be disappointed. Assuming the Raptors can make it a game, something they couldn’t do last time, I’m expecting something closer to 60.

 Honorable Mentions

  • PG Isaiah Thomas $6900
  • PG Jordan Clarkson $6500
  •  SG Evan Turner $6700
  • SF Trevor Ariza $6200
  • PF Zach Randolph $7300

 Dunks of the Night

  • PG Mike Conley $5800 Great price, great matchup, and the Grizzlies need a win.
  • PG Ish Smith $5800 Not flashy, limited upside, but great matchup, and very consistent.
  • SF Gerald Henderson $5700 Two straight games with over 30 Fanduel points, and the 3rd was close at 29.2. This is a tough matchup, but he is still a good play.
  • SF Robert Covington $5200 Assuming he starts, this is a great matchup. If he doesn’t start, it’s a much riskier play.
  • PF Josh Smith $6000 If I ranked my Dunks, he’d be the number 1 overall play tonight, in a landslide. I thought his price would have gone higher after his last game. Great matchup.
  • PF Ersan Ilyasova $5900 Had him in my Top Ten the other night, and he threw up a dud, but I’m not totally dismissing him yet.
  • PF Marcus Morris $5800 Another guy I thought his price would have been higher. Playing so well lately, you can’t even tell the difference between him and his brother. Not that you could before.

 Passes of the Night

  • SG Eric Bledsoe $8300 Still too risky game in and game out.
  • SG Giannis Antetokounmpo $7200 Tough matchup and has been in a slump lately.
  • SF Rudy Gay $8200 Hasn’t been great lately and has a tough matchup.
  • SF Andrew Wiggins $6800 Pretty much passing on any and all Timberwolves tonight.

 Punts

  • PG Archie Goodwin $3700 Posting this before tonight’s Suns game is done, so I’m not sure if he’ll stay here on the Punts list or not.
  • SG Jason Terry $3700 He will remain on this list until either his price goes over 4.2K or Patrick Beverly comes back.
  • PF Tarik Black $4200 He could get you a double double versus a bad rebounding team in the 76ers, but only barely. Something like 10 points 10 rebounds.
  • C Kelly Olynyk $4200 Could give you 30, could give you 7. Punt him and hope for 30.

That wrap up today’s post. Looks like my squad is going to fall just short of cashing tonight. Less than 5 points. Monday is a new day, so it’s time to get back to winning.
