NBA Fanduel Lineup Advice 3/9/15 ** Updated**

NBA Fanduel Lineup Advice 3/9/15
NBA Games for Monday 3/9/15

Sorry about yesterday, I was going to try to get up some good late game plays, but never got the chance. If you played any of my early game “Punts”, with the exception of Speights, you were happy with them. Tony Parker, Shaun Livingston, and JJ Reddick all balled.

It was good day for my plays and a good day for my lineups, cashing in now for the 3rd day in a row. Maybe posting my lineups here was a jinx after all? I’m hoping to keep the momentum going tonight.

Tonight is another sweet 8 game slate, and I haven’t dug in deep yet, but there is a good mix of value and top-tier guys to make some good lineups. So lets dive in.

Today’s Top 10 Plays

NBA Fanduel Lineup 3/9/15
John Wall

10) PG John Wall $9000 I aptly put Paul on my Pass list the other night. I knew versus the Bucks he would struggle. Bucks play at a  very slow pace, and I knew he wouldn’t get the volume to put up Fanduel points. Tonight though, I like him. Hornets are bottom 10 versus the point guard position overall and Wall is going to have to do a lot if he wants to keep the Wizards in good position for the playoffs. Nothing spectacular, but expect 35-40 Fanduel points.

NBA Fanduel Advice 3/9/15
Rudy Gay

9) SF Rudy Gay $8400 After getting 47 and 58 in the last 2 games, how could he not make this list? The Karl factor seems to be working here, Gay’s usage rate has gone up from his season average of 21 to 28 over the last 3 weeks, and has peaked at 29 over the last week! To give you a bit of a barometer as to how high that is, Curry’s usage rate is 30 and Lebron’s is 31. The only caveat is the Atlanta Hawks are the best, by far, at guarding the small forward position, so buyer beware.

NBA Fanduel Lineup 3/9/15
Tyreke Evans

8) PG Tyreke Evans $8400 I didn’t put him in my Top 10 the other night because I thought the Pelicans would have a tough time scoring versus the Grizzlies. I was wrong. Evans put up 45 Fanduel points versus them! So even in a tough matchup again tonight, I’m not going to doubt him this time.

NBA Fanduel Advice 3/9/15
Al Horford

7) C Al Hordford $8400 The Kings are the 5th worst defense versus the center position over the last 3 weeks, and though Horford hasn’t had any gaudy games recently, he is pretty consistent. Put him your lineup and you can expect 35-45 Fanduel points tonight.

NBA Fanduel Lineup 3/9/15
Anthony Davis

6) PF Anthony Davis $11,200 I really should have him much higher than this, but I’m over compensating because I’m a long-time fan of the team. Followed them from Charlotte and stayed with them. He is probably more Top 3 then number 6.

NBA Fanduel Lineup 3/9/15
Chris Paul

5) PG Chris Paul $10700 I had Chris at number 2 before hearing the news he had x-rays on his knee. X-rays were negative, but what better game to take off then in a matchup with the Wolves? Even if he does play, he’ll most likely be less than 100%, but even at 75% he checks in at number 5, he is just that good.

NBA Fanduel Lineup 3/9/15
DeMarcus Cousins

4) C DeMarcus Cousins $10800 The Hawks overall are a good defensive team, but the one area they struggle with is guarding the center position. They are 2nd worst over the last 3 weeks, so Cousins is going to eat them for lunch. Anything less than 50 will be a disappointment.

NBA Fanduel Lineup 3/9/15
Draymond Green

3) SF Draymond Green $8300 I’m going to go out on a limb here and say the Suns and Warriors game is going to be a high-scoring affair. Draymond has been playing huge lately, and has become a must play again in this Golden State offense. He can literally do it all. Score, assist, put the ball on the floor, shoot the 3 ball well enough to be respected, and rebound. In a game where there will be a ton of shots, Dray can’t be ignored.

NBA Fanduel Lineup 3/9/15
Ricky Rubio

2) PG Ricky Rubio $8400 Through the course of writing the Top Ten, Rubio has risen from the number 4 play, to the number 2 play. Why? The Chris Paul news. Rubio had a trip-dub with Paul in the lineup last time, if Paul is out or limited, Rubio will eat the “next guy up” for lunch. Could easily get a triple double again, or at least entertain the idea.

NBA Fanduel Lineup 3/9/15
Steph Curry

1) PG Steph Curry $1000 Steph had a rough outing versus the Clippers, and in fact, hasn’t put up “Curry-like” numbers for a few games now. So why put him at number one? I’ll tell you why. 1) Curry knows he has been struggling, and will want to come out and be aggressive. 2) This Suns team gives up a ton of points, and they play fast, so plenty of volume for Curry. 3) He is Steph freakin Curry!

NBA Fanduel Lineup Advice 3/9/15
Eric Bledsoe

** Bonus Player

Bonus) SG Eric Bledsoe $8500 As I predicted the other night, Bledsoe had his typical let down game, which means tonight he’ll ball out and score 60! Ok, maybe not 60, but he got his dud of the week out-of-the-way, and there will be a ton of scoring going on here.

Dunks of the Night

  • PG Dennis Schroder $5000 Doesn’t have the huge upside as some of the guys on this list, but he has been extremely consistent lately, and gets tons of minutes. Not to mention the blow-out factor, in which he’d get junk time minutes.
  • PG Aaron Brooks $4700 I’ve mentioned before that Grizzlies aren’t great versus the point guard, look what Tyreke did to them! He is no Tyreke, but he can get you value at $4700.
  • PG Mike Conely $6200 Yesterday I pointed out that the Bulls have been awful versus the point guard lately, as in dead last over the last 3 weeks. I said this while recommending Tony Parker. How did that work out for ya? Tony had 42 Fanduel points. Conley hasn’t been great lately, but he can be versus the Bulls.
  • PG Tyler Johnson $4500 Another punt play that I pointed out a few nights ago that went my way. The caveat here is the Heat having people sit out. If any of the four players,Chalmers/Deng/Wade/Napier, sit, Johnson is in for some minutes. He might even be good with those guys in the lineup.
  • PG Shaun Linvingston $4100 Not trying to toot my own horn, but I called him out as a Punt as well, 41 Fanduel points later, I’m looking like a genius. As has become a theme here, Suns/Warriors will have a ton of scoring to go around.
  • SG JJ Reddick $4800 Reddick completes the trifecta of good calls yesterday on my part. Crawford expected to still be out, queue him up. Stock takes a hit though if Paul doesn’t play.
  • SF Danilo Gallinari $5400 Didn’t have his best game last time out, but he is playing New York, I could probably score 16 Fanduel points versus New York! I’m sure he can get 25+.
  • PF Brandon Bass $5300 He keeps this up, and he’ll move off the Dunks list cause he’ll be too expensive. Had 45 Fanduel points last night. Whiteside may not play, and even if he does, I still like Bass.

Passes of the Night

  • C Pau Gasol $9200 Tough matchup and a little expensive. Better options at power forward for cheaper.
  • SF Khris Middleton $6700 A little on the cheap side for a true “Pass” player, but after that huge game last time out, he is going to be a popular player. Pelicans top 8 versus small forwards in the last 3 weeks.
  • C Marcin Gortat $6400 Another fairly cheap “Pass”, but Hornets are pretty decent versus opposing centers. Not to mention Gortat had 19 and 13 Fanduel points in 2 games versus them this year.
  • C Joakim Noah $7200 Not doing much lately except getting rebound and racking up assists. Won’t be as many rebounds to grab with Mark Gasol and Randolph.

Punt Plays

*GPP Only

  • SG Gary Neal $4300 Put him on this list the other day, and then I chickened out and didn’t use him. He had 27 real life points. Not bad.
  • SG Austin Rivers $3600 The caveat here is Chris Paul has to either sit or be limited, not sure if we’ll get clarity before the 10:30 tip though.
  • SF Michael Beasley $4200 Miami seems to be in “tanking mode” as nearly every player was listed as questionable before the start of the last game. If he gets minutes, he can reach value. Keep an eye on the injury reports.

That’s my plays for the night. I’ll have my “Things You Should Know, but Don’t” up later today. I still have some research to do.

Things You Should Know, but Probably Don’t

  • Not that you need another reason to roster Anthony Davis, but the Bucks are 3rd worst versus Power Forwards over the last 3 weeks.
  • Hawks and Kings represent last and second to last in defense versus the SG position in their game tonight. Kyle Korver and/or Ben McLemore could be sneaky GPP plays.
  • In 2 games vesus the Suns this year, Curry has 45 Fanduel points in each.
  • On the Flip-side, Bledsoe had 22 and 11 Fanduel points.
  • In his only matchup with Memohis this year Pau Gasol had only 23 Fanduel points.
  • In the only game MCW played versus the Pelicans this year, as a memeber of the 76ers, he scored 42 Fanduel points.
  • “In his only game versus the Grizzlies, with Taj and Rose also out, Mirotic had 42 Fanduel points. Butler is also out now.”     -Dennis AKA Infantryboy
