NBA Fanduel Lineup Advice and Analysis 3/27/15 **Updated**

NBA Fanduel Lineup Advice 3/27/15
NBA Games for 3/27/15

Man does it feel good to be back! I don’t know what I’m going to do  between the end of the NBA Season and the beginning of the NFL Season. I’m not much of a baseball guy, and wouldn’t feel comfortable playing Fanduel Baseball, but for now I’m glad to have the NBA.

Obviously the NBA schedule makers don’t play Daily Fantasy, or they would have at least given us 2 games yesterday! You mean to tell me that not one of the 13 games tonight couldn’t be played yesterday?? OK, enough ranting.

Last time out wasn’t a good night for me, I went out on a limb and recommended Bledsoe over Harden. Not only did that limb break, but after I hit the ground, the tree fell on me. My bad. I got that one wrong. So let’s get to tonight’s Top Ten.

Check out today’s Cost Versus Value Chart:

NBA Fanduel CVP Chart 3/27/15

Tonight’s Top Ten Plays

NBA Fanduel Lineup Advice 3/27/15
DeMar DeRozan

10) SG DeMar DeRozan $7700 DeDe has been more of himself lately,  though he did have a tough go versus Chicago, but with Butler  back that was to be expected. Even with Butler back, he got you 29 Fanduel points, and the Lakers don’t have anyone that can come close to playing that type of defense. I expect DeDe to get 30+ easy and could push 40+.

NBA Fanduel Lineup Advice 3/27/15
Derrick Favors

9) PF Derrick Favors $7900 His last 3 game totals; 41, 43, and 44. That’s consistency right there. Oh, and the last time he played Denver he had just under 40 at 39.5. At $7900, if he gets you 40+, he has exceeded his value. I like his chances to do that versus a Denver team that’s bottom 7 versus power forwards.

John Wall

8) PG John Wall $9500 He may be a little over-priced, but its hard to ignore his upside. He bounced back in a big way versus the Pacers the other night, and he should be able to continue that versus the Hornets. He doesn’t have any great games versus them this year, averaging only 34 Fanduel points in 3 games, but I feel he is due for one here.

Andre Drummond

7) C Andre Drummond $9300 Whats not to like here. He has 2 straight games over 50 Fanduel points, and in his last 2 games versus Orlando he scored over 55 in each. I’m not saying he’ll get you 50+, but 40-45 with the upside of 55, I’ll take it.

NBA Fanduel Lineup Advice 3/27/15
Tyreke Evans

6) PG Tyreke Evans $7600 It hurts that just a week ago my team, the Pelicans, were in the 8th spot, but after losing 4 straight may find themselves out of the playoffs. I really wanted to see what Anthony Davis could do when the intensity ramped up. In the meantime, I don’t expect them to go quietly, and with the Kings coming to town, Tyreke’s old team, I’m expecting him to show them what he has become. The last 2 games they played, Tyreke wasn’t running the point, this time around he is, a position the Kings didn’t think he could play. Look out.

NBA Fanduel Lineup Advice 3/27/15
Kawhi Leonard

5) SF Kawhi Leonard $8600 Sometimes a player’s history versus a team doesn’t really mean much. You never really know the circumstances of a game that may have been played months ago. In this case, Leonard just played this same team 2 games ago, a game in which he 44 Fanduel points in a Spurs loss. The loss had the Spurs players so upset, that when they interviewed Tony Parker in the game following the loss to Dallas, a blow-out victory versus the Thunder, Tony was still talking about the Dallas loss. Expect Kawhi to be even better this time.

NBA Fanduel Lineup Advice 3/27/15
DeMarcus Cousins

4) C DeMarcus Cousins $11,100 Not including the last wizards game in which his minutes were limited, he hasn’t scored less than 38 Fanduel points in 9 games. In that time period he has two 50 point games and two 70 point games! Asik, Ajinca, and Davis will have their hands full, that’s for sure. He scored 49.9 and 46.9 against the Pels already this season. I expect similar.

NBA Fanduel Lineup Advice 3/27/15
Chris Paul

3) PG Chris Paul $10800 I’ve gone on record saying that Chris Paul, in any other year, would have to be considered for MVP. Unfortunately, this isn’t any other year. With Curry, The Beard, and The Ninja Turtle(ok, that’s not really his nick-name, but I bet you knew who I was talking about immediately) playing out of their minds, Chris has taken a back seat. Before the Knicks game, he had 3 straight 50+ Fanduel point games, and would have had one versus the Knicks if they had offered up any kind of resistance. In his last 4 games he is averaging an absurd 1.5 fantasy points per minute, and he averages 35 minutes a game. Quick math tells me, if he gets his minutes average, he’ll get you 52.5 Fanduel points.

NBA Fanduel Lineup Advice 3/27/15
James Harden

2) SG James Harden $11500 After Wednesday night I had to raise my right hand and swear to never take Bledsoe over Harden again. One of my worst calls of the season. OK, I’m over it, promise. Harden has averaged 53 Fanduel points versus the Wolves in 3 games this year. Nothing will change tonight. Anything less than 50 and I’ll be disappointed.

NBA Fanduel Lineup Advice 3/27/15
Anthony Davis

1) C Anthony Davis $12500 How good will this guy be when he starts demanding the ball on every possession? I’m not sure how many Pelicans games any of y’all have seen, I’m sure it’s not many, but I’ve watched a ton, and they tend to forget about him for long stretches. How do you forget about him? And why does he allow it to happen? He should touch the on every possession! Ok, enough about my frustrations with the team, even without demanding the ball, the dudes a beast. Since coming back from injury, in games he has had 40 or more minutes, his lowest point total was 44 Fanduel points, and he has one game over 60, one game a shade under 80, and another game over 80! In the one game he didn’t get 40 minutes, versus the Nets, he still had 36 Fanduel points in 28 minutes. He needs to be in your lineup. Period.

Honorable Mentions

  • SG Monta Ellis $7000
  • PG Reggie Jackson $7900
  • C Brook Lopez $7800
  • SF Rudy Gay $8600
  • PG Elfrid Payton $7300

Dunks of the Night

  • PG Tony Parker $5800 As I mentioned above, he was still upset about losing to Dallas even after they blew out OKC. This will be the last day he is under 6K
  • PG Jeremy Lin $5600 At his price tag, anything over 25 and he reaches value. He hasn’t been under 25 Fanduel points since his minutes went up to 30 three games ago.
  • PG Zach LaVine $5100 Beverly isn’t going to play in this game, and if Rubio is out, as expected, Jason Terry has no hope in guarding him. Turn-overs kill his upside though.
  • SG Kentavious Caldwell-Pope $5500 Ok, I said a few posts ago that if he kept up his hot streak, I would learn to spell his name, a deal is a deal. (gotta love copy/paste)
  • SG Trevor Ariza $5800 Five out of his last 6 games over 30 Fanduel points. The one he didn’t go over 30, he didn’t even know he’d be able to play until right before tip.
  • SF PJ Tucker $5400 Not flashy, but consistent. Great cash game guy. Always gets you 25-30 Fanduel points.
  • PF Chase Budinger $4700 At $4700, he only needs 21 Fanduel points to meet value, he has gone over that in 5 of his last 6.

Passes of the Night

  • PG Kemba Walker $7600 Bad matchup.
  • SG Eric Bledsoe $8600 OK, I’m still not over it.
  • PF LaMarcus Aldridge $9700 Need to see him play well after his latest injury before I can pay that price tag.
  • PF Kenneth Faried $7000 The Utah effect.
  • C Dwight Howard $7900 Don’t even think about this until you see it on the court, I expect his price to fall first.
  • C Al Jefferson $7600 Bad matchup.

Punts of the Night

  • SG Jason Terry $3500 He’ll only be viable while he is at minimum salary. If Beverly is out, and he starts to get big minutes, his price will go to high for his production. Use him now.
  • SF Joe Ingles $3500 Hood expected to be out. If Hayward is out too, even better, but even with just Hood out, minimum salary and a bunch of minutes can’t be ignored. Good matchup too.
  • PF Bojan Bogdanovic $4000 Thad Young already ruled out, he should get the start and the minutes. Not a great matchup though, buyer beware.

Things You Should Know, but Probably Don’t

  • In 3 games versus the Nets, Lebron James has only averaged 35 Fanduel Points.
  • Curry has played only one game versus Memphis this year, he only had 41 Fanduel points in that game.
  • Chris Paul scored 54.6 Fanduel points in his one game versus Philly.
  • Lillard averages 30 Fanduel points versus the Suns in 2 games this year.
  • Eric Bledsoe’s 2 games versus Portland are a microcosm of his entire season. One game he had 57. The other he had 25.
  •  Nikola Vucevic has played Detroit 3 times this year. In the 2 games he had more than 30 minutes, he had 45 Fanduel points in both. The other was a Detroit blow-out and he only played 21 minutes, scoring only 19.5.
  • Monta Ellis owns the Spurs. He has averaged 44 Fanduel points against them this year.

Feels good to do a full-blown post again. I feel like I’ve been slacking lately. I’m sure there will be plenty of updates through-out the day, and some more punts may come up.
