NBA Fanduel Lineup Advice and Analysis 3/28/15

NBA Fanduel Lineup Advice 3/28/15
NBA Games 3/28/15

I hope Friday night was as good for everyone else as it was for me. Derrick Favors kept it from being an even better night, but I cashed in 3 GPP’s with 3 different lineups, I’ll take it.

Today’s slate isn’t the best slate, only 5 games, and very little top-tier players to choose from. I have a feeling Westbrook will be heavily owned, which isn’t really saying much, but he is really the only top-tier player today. Today’s Top Ten was difficult because there wasn’t a lot to choose from, but let’s get to it.

Today’s Top Ten Plays

10) PF Ersan Ilyasova $6000 You know it’s going to be an ugly Top Ten when Ilyasova makes the list, but when you have gone over 40 Fanduel Points in 3 of your last 4 games, it’s time to take notice. Golden State is bottom 7 versus the power forward position over the last 3 weeks, so it’s not a bad matchup. The Warriors on a second game of a back to back as well, and there is a chance Kerr decides to rest players, or at least limit their minutes.

9) SG Giannis Antetokounmpo $7500 Another sign it’s going to be a tough Top Ten is when you have 2 back to back Buck players. Alphabet  has had a few sub-par games recently, and I’m not really expecting him to have a huge game in this one either, but he is their best offensive threat and one of their better rebounders. Golden State is a very tough matchup, but on a 5 games slate you’re not going to be able to avoid tough match-ups.

8) PF Kenneth Faired $6800 The MANimal has disappeared over his last few games, and I had a hard time putting him in the Top Ten. Not to mention, the Blazers are a tough matchup for power forwards, but on a 5 games slate you may have to risk using him. Before his string of bad games, he had scored 30+ in 8 of his last 9 games, hopefully he can get back to that.

7) PG Kemba Walker $7500 Despite not scoring a ton in his last 2 games, he got enough peripherals that he didn’t hurt you too much. Now if he can get his scoring back on track and maintain his peripheral stats, then he could be in for a huge game. He has played Atlanta twice this year, and in the game they kept close, he scored nearly 49 Fanduel points. The other games was blow-out and he only had 19, so lets hope they can keep it close.

6) PG Damian Lillard $9000 Just when I thought you could start to use Lillard again, he goes out and shoots 4-15 with only 4 assists and 4 rebounds. Denver likes to push the pace, so there will be plenty of possessions for Lillard to find his shot, and at $9000 he is high-risk, but on a five game slate…..

5) PF Nikola Mirotic $7400 The Bulls front court is extremely crowed with Pau, Noah, Taj, and Mirotic all needing court time. Obviously Pau isn’t going to lose any minutes, so that leaves Taj, Noah, and Miro to fight for court time. What the Bulls have shown over the past week, with everyone healthy, is that they love Miro in the 4th. Why wouldn’t they. In the month of March he has 123 fourth quarter points, good for first in the NBA. To put that into prospective, Lebron and Westbrook are second and third on that list and only have 94 and 83 respectively. Now we just need to hope New York keeps it close so they actually need Miro in the 4th.

4) SG Jimmy Butler $8400 He hasn’t quite reached value in his first 2 games back from injury, but they have been pretty decent outputs considering how much time he has missed. It’s also worth noting that he is not on any minutes restriction. A game versus New York should be just what the doctor ordered for him to reach value. He had 59.5 Fanduel points against them in his only game versus the Knicks.

3) C Al Jefferson $7700 It seems that every time I recommend Jefferson, he has a dud, and when I put him on my Pass list, as I did yesterday, he goes out and has a great game. Hoping to buck that trend today. Atlanta does not guard the center position very well, and just like with Kemba Walker, in the non-blow-out game versus Atlanta, he was huge, scoring 54 Fanduel points.

2) PF Pau Gasol $9000 In every Top Ten there is always a position in the countdown that separates the “should be good” from the “sure-thing”. Normally that spot is between the 6th-4th spot. Today, it’s here at the number 2 spot. Pau and the guy at  #1 (I don’t want to spoil the suspense and tell you who it is, LOL) are the only 2 guys I feel ultra comfortable with, and will probably be in every one of my lineups. I just hope New York finds a way to make this a game.

1) PG Russell Westbrook $12800 Look at that affordable price-tag!  Under 13K for the first time in a while. Even versus a tough Jazz defense, there is no way I’m fading him today. He may not give you 70 tonight, but he is the only player on today’s slate capable of giving you 70, so for that reason alone, you have to play him. I feel like he’ll come out and play huge with the news that Durant will miss the entire season. It’s his team now, there is no MVP player waiting in the wings to get back to the court.

Dunks of the Night

  • PG Langston Galloway $5900 He gets a bunch of minutes and the Bulls are still awful versus the point guard.
  • PG Trey Burke $5300 Risky play but has 30 point upside and a good match-up.
  • PG Dennis Schroder $5300 Only if Teague sits.
  • SF DeMarre Carroll $5700 He is decent if Teague plays, like him more if Teague sits.

Passes of the Night

  • PG Steph Curry $10000 Passing on both of the Warriors back-court players tonight. Second game of a back-to-back, on the road, versus a pretty good defense.
  • SG Klay Thompson $6800 see Steph Curry
  • SF Khris Middleton $6700 Tough match-up and has struggled recently.
  • C Al Horford $7200 Five straight games in the 20’s. No thanks.

Punts of the Night

  • PG Shane Larkin $4600 On a 5 game slate, you can do worse.
  • SG Anthony Morrow $4100 On a 5 game slate, you can do worse.
  • PF Marvin Williams $4200 On a 5 game slate…… you get the point.

Not a ton of value tonight, nor is there a ton of top-tier players. It’ll be a tough day in the scoring department today.

Good luck tonight.
