NBA Playoffs Fanduel Lineup Advice and Analysis for 4/24/15 and 4/25/15

Welcome back everyone. Hope everyone had a good night in the Fanduel world. My Weds/Thurs lineup looking pretty good at the moment. The other 2 lineups it’s too early to tell, it’s early Thursday night as I write this.

If you haven’t had a chance to check out the newest “Why I Hate” column from Josh McCain, you can check it out by clicking here: Why I Hate LeBron James. Pretty good read, if you’re into this kind of stuff. Trolling at its finest.

At some point today I’ll be putting up some new content for MLB DFS. It’s courtesy of purestatsfantasy.com. The article will be called “High Heat”, and it breaks down pitchers from a DFS perspective for both Fanduel and DraftKings. It’ll give a couple of pitchers in each tier; top-tier, middle tier, and value. So for those that play MLB, be on the look out for that.

Yesterday’s post included players from Thursday/Friday contests, and since some of the players overlap in the Friday/Saturday contests, I’ll just insert what I wrote from last night and add the Saturday players.

Point Guards

John Wall
John Wall $9500 Of the 3 point guards over 9K, I like Wall the most. That’s not to say I don’t like the other the other 2, but Wall, in my opinion, has the best chance to reach value. Popovich and the Spurs are great at game to game adjustments, and they’ll figure out a way to slow down Chris Paul a little. Curry will be playing on the road, which really doesn’t affect him much, but when you’re splitting hairs you, have to look for any advantage. There is also a chance Lowry misses this game which boosts Wall even more.

Derrick Rose
Derrick Rose $6100 I said on Thursday that he’d have a 50 Fanduel Point night soon, and it came sooner than expected. With his price still at $6100 he is a must play. I expect his price to jump considerably if he has even a semi decent game on Saturday, so use him now.

Shooting Guards

Brad Beal

Brad Beal $6600 He hasn’t had less than 28 Fanduel Points for 9 straight games and 10 of 11. He had 33 and 36 in each of the first 2 games of this series, and now he gets to come home to DC. Washington has a chance to put some doubters to rest if they end up sweeping this series, and Wall and Beal will have to carry the team. I expect them to do just that.

Monta Ellis

Monta Ellis $6400 With Rondo out, expect Ellis to handle the ball a little more. In the 6 games this season in which Rondo didn’t play, he average about 32 Fanduel Points(excluding the game he left with an injury). Some home cooking should help the Mavs out a little in game 3, and I expect Ellis to be one that benefits.

Kyle Kover $5300 The Nets just have no answer for Kover. On a team that has no player averaging over 20 points a game and having zero single game 30 point scorers all year, Kover’s 17 and 21 points in games one and two is equivalent to an offensive explosion. Look for that to continue as the series moves to Brooklyn.

Corey “Bag of Chips” Brewer

<

p style=”outline: transparent solid 0px; -webkit-touch-callout: none; margin-bottom: 24px;”>Corey Brewer $4600 I’m sure he is anxious to go back to Dallas and show them, in their own building, that he is worth at least 2 bags of chips! His upside is limited because of his lack of minutes, but he’ll make the most of them tonight. Expect 28-35 Fanduel Points tonight.

Kawhi Leonard

Kawhi Leonard $8400 Kawhi is sort of a cop out on my part. Normally I won’t put the obvious guy here, but I really don’t like any of the other small forwards enough to put my stamp of approval on. Pretty much all my lineups will include Kawhi.

Tim Duncan

Tim Duncan $8000 Someone forgot to tell Duncan he is supposed to be slowing down at this point in his career. Now we can sit back and appreciate what Popovich has done with Duncan by resting him during the season. He played 44 minutes in the win over the Clippers Wednesday night, and though I don’t expect him to get anywhere near that tonight, I do expect him to be very good in front of the home crowd in 30-35 minutes.

Nene Hilario $4500 One good game and one dud so far in the playoffs, but coming home, with a few days of rest, he’ll be more “game one” than “game two”.

Center

Marcin Gortat
Marcin Gortat $7000 Gortat had a very good game 2 and I expect him to be even better at home, where he typically plays better. I’m expecting a strong double double from him tonight.

Brook Lopez
Brook Lopez $8500 Bro-low has been good, but not great, in the first 2 games of this series. Coming home to Brooklyn he should be able to take it to the next level. To say the Nets need to win this game is an understatement, and if they hope to hold serve, Bro-lo will need to be big. I’m expecting close to 50 Fanduel Points tonight from him.

That’s all I got for tonight. I’ll have my lineup later on today. Check back.

Ok. Lineup is ready. One stipulation. I need to know if Zaza is going to play Saturday or not. I’m assuming he is suspended for the game. I’ll have to know by lineup lock Friday, otherwise downgrade Horford to Noah, and upgrade Henson to either Diaw or Nene. Henson would still be s good play for a Saturday GPP even if Zaza plays.
