The Best DrafKings NFL DFS Advice Week 11 (11/19/23)

Welcome back to my weekly DFS article where I give you my top picks for the week! I had a tough week last week, missing on a number of my picks. But, I am hoping for a much better Week 11 coming up! Let’s dive into this week’s action!

Quarterbacks

Justin Fields ($6,900) @ DET

Justin Fields makes his return this week and he is sorely underpriced. Fields gets to make his return against the Detroit Lions, who he scored over 40 fantasy points against in week 10 last year. Now much of Fields’ production came via the ground in that game, and he has been used much more as a pocket passer this year before his injury. But, Fields still put up over 30 DraftKings points in his last 2 games prior to injury, and at $6,900 he is far too cheap.

Brock Purdy ($5,800) vs TB

Brock Purdy has been continuously underpriced on DraftKings, and this week at $5,800 versus the Buccaneers, he certainly is again. The Buccaneers have given up the 4th-most passing yards this season, making this a great matchup for Purdy. On the contrary, Tampa Bay has given up the 6th-least rushing yards this season. This should force the 49ers to have to throw the ball more, making Purdy a great play at $5,800 this week.

De’Von Achane ($6,600) vs LV

The latest report from Mike McDaniel is they are “very optimistic” about De’Von Achane being activated this week. Is he a bit overpriced making his return from IR this week? Probably. Will that stop me from playing him in GPPs? Nope. Concerns of a limited snap count should keep the field largely away from Achane this week, and that is exactly why I like him in GPPs this week. Achane gets one of the worst run defenses in the league in the Raiders this week. He may not even need many carries versus this defense to pay off his price tag, and at low ownership, I’ll be all over him this week.

Breece Hall ($6,400) @ BUF

Breece Hall is coming off a couple of middling performances his last 2 weeks posting around 10 fantasy points in both. The $6,400 price tag is fine for Hall, but the matchup really intrigues me this week. The Bills have been sub-par at stopping the run this year, and that puts Hall in line for a big week. We just saw Javonte Williams have a solid game against this defense, so Hall should be able to find success as well. If Breece Hall can have a ceiling game, he can easily separate as the best running back on this slate.

D.J. Moore ($5,600) vs DET

I feel like almost every week one of my top WR plays correlates with my top QB play, which makes sense. This week is no different as I’m targeting D.J. Moore this week versus Detroit. I had zero interest in playing Moore while Fields was out, but now that he’s back, I am right back in on Chicago’s number 1 wideout. Moore showed us his huge ceiling in his last game with a healthy Justin Fields, and at $5,800 I just cannot pass up that kind of a ceiling at that price. I’m all in on Moore this week.

Rondale Moore ($3,300) @ HOU

This is just a huge misprice by DraftKings. The field will almost certainly be all over it, but at this price, he may be the skeleton key you need to win your contest this week. In Kyler Murray’s return, Moore saw 8 targets, catching 5 of them for 43 yards. If he sees 8 targets again this week, he will be a phenomenal play at his price tag.

Tight Ends

Jake Ferguson ($4,600) @ CAR

There are a number of fantastic options at tight end in the $4k-$5k range this week. Ferguson stands out to me as I think he may draw less ownership than some of the more popular options in this range. Ferguson has scored a touchdown in each of his last 3 games, including 17 targets over the last two weeks. The Cowboys should have no issue getting to the redzone often against Carolina, opening up more opportunities for Ferguson to score. The field will be all over McBride, and I think Ferguson offers a great pivot to the chalk if you’re looking to get away from ownership at tight end.

Tyler Conklin ($2,900) @ BUF

If you’re looking for a punt option at tight end, Conklin stands out as one of the best options this week. Earning 13 targets in his last two weeks, Conklin’s opportunity will be there. He has posted double-digit scoring weeks in each of his last two which is exactly what you’re looking for in a sub-$3k tight end. He has yet to find the endzone in this awful Jets offense, but should he find it this week and put up similar yards to his last two weeks, he will be a complete smash at his price tag.

Defenses

Pittsburgh Steelers ($3,500) @ CLE

The Steelers’ defense has been incredibly good for real-life football this season. For fantasy, they’ve been just fine, not posting any huge performances as of late. However, they scored 26 points in week 2 against… The Browns. Now, those Browns had Deshaun Watson at QB, this Browns’ team will have Dorian Thompson-Robinson at QB. Given this matchup, Pittsburgh could be the defense you have to have to win in GPPs this week.

New York Jets ($2,600) @ BUF

We just saw Josh Allen have a horrible game on primetime on Monday. Now he gets the New York Jets, whose defense has been phenomenal all year. These two teams faced each other in week 1, and the Jets’ D/ST scored 20 points! At $2,600, they are my clear favorite sub-$3k defense this week.
