Undervalued in the Fantasy Playoffs

Happy Playoffs!  Did you succeed?  Did you rise to the top?  It’s been a rough year thus far and now with multiple outbreaks of Covid and exposures, it’s going to be a bumpy playoff, no doubt.  The Bucs and Patriots look pretty dominating.  How crazy would it be to see them in the Super Bowl?  Let’s look at a few additions from the waiver wire or your bench that are undervalued in recent weeks.

Undervalued

Kirk Cousins QB Vikings

Can we discuss how depressing it is watching the Vikings do this every season?  I put the blame on Mike Zimmer, not only is he the Head Coach but also the defensive coordinator, and in Week 13’s loss to the Lions, it was the poor play calling that allowed the Lions to win it with seconds on the clock.  Now Week 14 was Cousins’s lowest fantasy points outing in weeks, but he is still slinging it well.  Without Thielen, he found Osborn and Jefferson for 216 yards and two touchdowns.  I am not saying he is a top QB1, but he has finished in the Top 15 most every week.  He might not be the flashy QB like Murray or Brady, but he gets the job done in the air.  Cousins has gotten a bad rep ever since the Vikings gave him that huge sum of money to be the main guy.  Trust me, I’m married to a huge Vikings fan, but I feel he gets a bad rep.

Playoff weeks, he gets the Bears, Rams, Packers, and Bears again.  The only week I am worried about is Week 16 vs the Rams as we just saw them have their way with Murray.  I would easily fire him up in 2QB leagues this week vs the Bears.  Rostered in 85% of Yahoo and 74% ESPN leagues.

Hunter Renfrow WR Raiders

The Raiders have been struggling, no Waller, no Drake, and a lack of positive outcomes.  Then comes Renfrow.  He has been on fire.  Week 14 saw a season-high 14 targets for 117 yards and a touchdown.  Since their bye, Renfrow has had double-digit fantasy points every week but Week 11 vs the Bengals.  He has the potential to finish the season as a Top 15 fantasy WR if Carr can shake off the cobwebs and perform these next four weeks.  The Raiders face the Browns, Broncos, Colts, and Chargers.  All winnable games but definitely games that Renfrow can continue to shine, even when Waller comes back.  I still feel that secondaries will target Waller and Renfrow yet they continue to find the deep slot and open field.  I like him as a WR2 in redraft and dynasty in this playoff run.  Owned in 83% of Yahoo and 88% of ESPN leagues.

James Robinson RB Jaguars

So, the last few weeks have been rough, but Urban Mayer was fired and it’s Robinson’s time again to shine.  Houston has given up six rushing touchdowns in the last three games, and I expect Robinson to get at least two.  He is a beast, and Meyer held him back because of a fumble, and who knows what else was going through his head.  I for one have sat him in multiple leagues, but not anymore!  So far this year he has 628 yards and seven touchdowns, and we all agree these numbers should be higher.

The Jags’ remaining schedule is Texans, Jets, Patriots, Colts.  Granted the Patriots have a stout run defense especially lately as they’ve averaged 7.2 points per game in their win streak, but I still like Robinson in all four remaining games.  He is obviously rostered in every league but most likely has been riding the pine, so fire him up as an RB1/2 this week and going forward!
