What should a Roam Character do?
A Roamer in VainGlory affects everyone in the team. If you’re reading this because you want to succeed in the “Roam” role, always remember this- Good Roam=Good Game. A Roamer is essential to the team because without a Roamer, the team wouldn’t be able to stay in teamfights, tank turrets and generally just tank everything. Roam characters should always be near the carry of the team. This would usually mean the Laner. Getting your team’s laner to the late game is very important to a Roamer because, if your Laner is fed up with kills, and gold, they will be able to buy better items then the enemy laner, giving you a huge advantage in the game, like- securing important locations and just blowing the enemy up with 5 basic attacks… A Roam character should always start by buying an “Ironguard Contract”. This item is great for a Roamer to get to the late game, and to help your jungler farm in the jungle.
When you have left your base, you should always follow your jungler until you have killed all the creeps in your side of the jungle. Then a good Roamer would either help farm with the jungler (unless you meet the enemy in the jungle) or, try ganking the enemy Laner.
From that point on, the Roamer should help the jungler farm, while trying to gank the enemy Laner, and engage at good times, while helping your allies flee at bad times.
How should a Roamer be built?
Simple. TANKY. You are not meant to be getting kills. It’s understandable if you have 0 kills in a game. But, it is not understandable if you have 0 assists as a Roamer. Your goal is to keep your carry alive. I don’t care if you die while trying to save the carry. Every Roamer should start by buying an “Ironguard Contract”. From their, buying boots, and starting to go to a more Tankier build. For you main, core items, go for either- Crucible, or Fountain of Renewal. REMEMBER KEEP YOUR CARRY ALIVE.

Which heroes are the best for Roam?
The follwing is the list of good Roamers, from good to bad.

As you can see, most characters in VainGlory aren’t made to be in the Roam role. The three in the A Rank are very suitable Roam characters, as they all bring great presence in a team fight. They are all tanky characters in general.
