Overall Outlook

The fantasy world expects a giant fall from grace regarding James Robinson. It makes sense that an undrafted rookie who finishes as the seventh-best running back could regress the next season. What makes things worse is the team drafted his competition in the first round of the 2021 draft. This doesn’t have to mean Robinson should be forgotten. His success made for a top storyline in 2020 and may be too talented to fall off the map.

The Jaguars will have limited rushing attempts as they are still expected to struggle as a team. I think Robinson gets the majority of the carries still. Word in minicamp is that Etienne will be moved all over the field and will likely lead the running backs in catches this year. Robinson will have enough usage in the passing game still as the team is trailing enough in games. It’s also worth noting that Robinson had five touchdowns on five carries from inside the five last year. He is going to get his share of scores and may even outperform my projection, especially if the offense is better than last year.
