Top Pitching OptionsÂ
Francisco Liriano (DK – $10000, FD – $9400) – A leftie vs. the White Sox might be the best matchup in baseball for a pitcher and Liriano gets to do it in pitcher friendly PNC park without the DH. That’s a lot in his favor. Liriano has a 2.92 SIERA, 1.02 WHIP, and 29.0% strikeout rate to go with a solid 8.7% walk rate. The White Sox have been dismal against LHP with a 0.241 wOBA (30th) and 22.5% strikeout rate (21st), making Liriano the top cash game and GPP option.
Trevor Bauer (DK – $7600, FD – $8400) – Bauer makes a great GPP option against the strikeout prone Cubs. Bauer got roughed up against the Mariners his last time out, but has been solid this year with a 3.53 ERA (4.01 SIERA) and 24.3% strikeout rate. The Cubs have a mediocre 0.309 wOBA (18th) and MLB worst 25.4% strikeout rate (T29th) vs. RHP. However, the Cubs can be patient and put up runs when they are on, which is why Bauer is the better GPP option than cash game.
Top Hitting OptionsÂ
Buster Posey C (DK – $4100, FD – $3900) – While Posey is usually a great target against weak lefties, he has actually hit righties better this year with a 0.374 wOBA and 0.173 ISO vs. RHP (as opposed to his 0.316 wOBA and 0.149 ISO vs. LHP). Taijuan Walker has allowed a 0.363 wOBA to RHP this year with a 4.11 SIERA.
Joey Gallo – 3B (DK – 3800, FD – $3200) – Joey Gallo continues to rake and Draftkings continues to leave his price below $4k. Gallo has hit HRs in his last two games and has crushed RHP with a 0.558 wOBA and 0.350 ISO. Frias has struggled against lefties for the Dodgers allowing a 0.396 wOBA to LHH. At this price, Gallo is hard to ignore.
