Jacob deGrom (DK – $10900, FD – $11100) – Harvey was not sharp against the Nationals and had control issues all night. deGrom is coming off twelve days rest and should be ready to go to take advantage of the nice matchup. The Nationals still have a weak lineup minus Bryce Harper right now. On the year, deGrom has a 3.03 SIERA and 25.3% strikeout rate on the year. He gets a weak opponent in Joe Ross and is the top cash game play on the day.
Brett Anderson (DK – $7400, FD – $7700) – Other than the White Sox, the Braves are the wor
st team in baseball against LHP – 0.280 wOBA (29th), 76 wRC+ (28th), and 22.2% strikeout rate (19th). And if you wondered if Anderson has really pitched as well as his 3.17 ERA on the year, his 3.19 SIERA and 17.5% strikeout rate show he has. He’s the second biggest favorite on the day at -140 and is a great play at his mid-tiered price.
Joe Ross (DK – $5000, FD – $5000) – Joe Ross gets the lowly Mets team that has a 0.290 wOBA (29th) and 20.3% strikeout rate (22nd) vs. RHP. . Ross has also a 2.15 SIERA and 28.8% strikeout rate through his first three starts on the year. There is some risk here, but at $5000 on both sites he’s a great bargain and an argument could be made to use Ross in cash games and load up on bats.

Prince Fielder 1B (DK – $5200, FD – $4400) – Fielder didn’t have the platoon advantage yesterday, but gets it today against one of the worst righties in baseball and his price went down $200. Fielder has a 0.418 wOBA, 168 wRC+, and 0.170 ISO vs. RHP and gets to play this one at Coors against Kyle Hendricks and his Mitch Moreland would also be a great play if he gets the start.
Robinson Cano 2B (DK – $3900, FD – $3200) – I had all but written off Cano, but after two more hits and a HR yesterday and his 0.481 wOBA over the last 7 days, he’s got my attention. The Mariners face Shane Greene who allows a 0.420 wOBA vs. LHH along with his 4.48 SIERA, making Cano a good bet to continue his hot streak.

Cesar Hernandez 2B/SS (DK – $2700, FD – $2900) – Obligatory Cesar recommendation. Had a double, triple, run, and 2 RBI yesterday. Gets a righty today so always a threat to steal a base.
Jake Smolinski OF (DK – $2000, FD – $3000) – I have to give you more than Cesar, so I’ll give you Smolinski at minimum price. After recently being claimed off waivers by the A’s, he got the start and hit 5th against a leftie and the A’s get another middling lefty today in Mark Buerhle. He’s doesn’t need 2 HRs like he had last time to meet value, but a hit and a run would easily do it for $2000.
