Top Pitching Options

Zack Greinke (DK – $11100, FD – $11200) – The Mets have a league worst 0.235 wOBA over the last 14 days. On the year, they have a 0.305 wOBA (18th), 97 wRC+ (16th), and 23.8% strikeout rate (25th) vs. LHP. Kreinke has pitched well this year with a 3.27 SIERA and 22.6% strikeout rate. His ceiling is enormously high, but his floor is about as high as it gets, making him the top cash game option of the evening slate.

Carlos Martinez (DK – $9000, FD – $10000) – Carlos Martinez is one of my favorite pitchers to play, as he pitches so well but seems to fly under the radar in ownership and price. The price has started to come up a bit, but he’s still a great value. El Gallo has a 3.35 SIERA and 25.9% strikeout rate, and has 9 wins on the year. He has a great matchup against the San Diego Padres who have a 0.292 wOBA (27th), 88 wRC+ (24th), and 22.3% strikeout rate (26th) vs. RHP. Martinez is one of the top options of the morning slate.

Kendall Graveman (DK – $6000, FD – $5400) – Graveman has pitched extremely well of late, scoring 21, 27.7, 20.2, 17.8, and 21 DK points in his last five outings (and against good offenses). He sports a 4.32 SIERA on the year and 14.6% strikeout rate, which keeps his price down, but that’s mostly due to a rough April. He had a 3.86 xFIP in the month of June and has really turned things around. The Mariners struggle against righties with a 0.292 wOBA (27th), 88 wRC+ (23rd), and 22.5% strikeout rate (27th) vs. RHP. Gravement is easily the best value play on the day.

Top Hitting Options

Mike Trout OF (DK – $5700, FD – $5100) – Trout is a great play on any day, but against a weak lefties makes a tremendous play. With no super expensive pitching options, you could fit his price tag into your lineup. Trout has a 0.432 wOBA and 0.297 ISO vs. LHP. The Angles face Wandy Rodriguez and his 4.19 SIERA and 0.318 wOBA to RHH. Trout projects as one of the top three hitters on the day.

Jerrardo Parra OF (DK – $3700, FD – $2700) – Parra has been hot of late, with a 0.427 wOBA and 0.200 ISO over the last 14 days. On the year, he sports a 0.348 wOBA and 0.166 ISO vs. RHP. The Brewers get another tasty matchup against Jos Smith at Great American Ballpark. Smith is making his third start of the year, and has not faired well, with a 7.75 SIERA and 0.362 wOBA allowed to lefties. All of the Brewers are great options today, with their leadoff man being one of the best.

A.J. Pierzynski C (DK – $3000, FD – $2300) – With Freiman out, Pierzynski is back in the cleanup spot. The Braves take on Sean O’Sullivan and his 4.98 SIERA and 0.477 wOBA vs. LHH. Pierzynski has a 0.320 wOBA and 0.164 ISO vs. RHP. All of the Braves lefties are good plays, but Pierzynski is very cheap and plays a scarce position, making him the best option.

Top Value Play

Ryan Raburn OF (DK – $2600, FD – $2400) – Rayburn is always a great cheap option against a lefty.
