Top Pitching Options

Francisco Liriano (DK – $9700, FD – $10200) – Weather looks like it could be an issue again in Pittsburg tonight, but that didn’t stop Burnett from getting in 7.2 innings last night. And just like Burnett, Liriano is in a great spot at home against the struggling Padres. San Diego is slightly worse against LHP with a 90 wRC+, 0.294 wOBA, and 24.2% strikeout rate on the year. Conversely, Liriano has bee great this year with a 2.97 SIERA, 1.02 WHIP, 2.01 GB/FB rate, and 27.9% strikeout rate. With the strikeout potential there, Liriano is one of the top cash and GPP plays on the day.

Wade Miley (DK – $6300, FD – $7800) – Wade Miley’s numbers don’t instill a lot of confidence – 4.53 SIERA, 1.44 WHIP, and 15.9% strikeout rate – but he’s put up 15 or more DK points in 7 of his last 10 starts, only failing to do so against the Blue Jays, Orioles, and Rangers (all top offenses and all away games). Miley has been considerably better at home, with a 3.87 xFIP and 0.285 wOBA allowed. In a matchup against a Marlins team that just lost its top hitter, Miley makes a decent cheap play that should score around 20 DK points and meet value.

Other Pitching Options: Max Scherzer vs. Cin, Corey Kluber vs. Hou, Edison Volquez vs. TB

Top Hitting Options

Mike Trout OF (DK – $6200, FD – $5600) and Albert Pujols 1B (DK – $5600, FD – $4800) – Trout and Pujols at Coors, if you can fit them in, you should fit them in.

Stephen Vogt C/1B (DK – $3800, FD – $3100) – Yasmani Grandal will likely be a popular play again at $3300, but if your looking to differentiate Vogt is a great option. Nathan Eovaldi allows a 0.396 wOBA to LHH and Vogt boasts a 0.392 wOBA and 0.247 ISO vs. RHP. He’s a great GPP option.

Justin Turner 2B/3B (DK – $3700, FD – $3400) – Draftkings continues to criminally under-price the Dodgers bats. They were near 50% owned in most cash games and GPPs last night, and will likely be again today. They should secure a few of your cash lineup spots, but if you want to win a GPP, you’re better off looking elsewhere. But for cash, the top Dodger play might be Justin Turner. At only $3700 and dual position eligibility, Turner has a 0.468 wOBA and 0.310 ISO vs. RHP. Until his price gets above $5000, he should be in your lineup against every RHP and at $3700, he’s as close as it gets to a lock.

Cesar Hernandez 2B/SS (DK – $3100, FD – $3200) – Until his price comes up, Cesar will be a staple here as he should be a staple in your lineups. He continues to hit at the top of the order and had another mutli-hit and SB night last night. Until his price reflects his production, he’s a near must play.
