Fan Duel Week 10 Value Plays!

What’s up everyone, week 9 is in the books! It was a good one as we saw my NEW YORK FOOTBALL GIANTS win, yet another game, against The Washington Football team. The Steelers squeaked out a win against a depleted Cowboys team (thank you, from my eliminator pool) and The Ravens took care of business, as I expected. Week 10 is on deck and with bye weeks looming, values are more of a VALUE, this slate. Don’t forget my GUT FEELING PLAYER this week and as always, we only play milli makers here!

Week 9 Gut Feeling Player: Lamar Jackson

Ok, so, Lamar Jackson scored 18.6 points last week. He didn’t make or break your lineup by no stretch. But, he also didn’t overwhelm with his 6th most expensive price slot last week. I have myself another tie situation here with Jackson. Lamar had himself a GREAT football game; fantasy game wise Jackson was solid. He was only the 3rd QB all season to finish with 18+ points against The Colts defense. Jackson took full advantage of his rushing floor as he finished the week with 58 rushing yards and 1 touchdown. The more I break this game down, the more I view this as a win. Screw it, I am switching this from a TIE to a WIN!

Gut Feeling Play Record: 5-1-1

QUARTERBACKS

Tua Tagovailoa ( vs LAC) – $6,800

Man, this feels good to do, writing about Tua as a FAN DUEL value play feels awesome. Do you remember where you were when Jalen Hurts was benched at halftime and Tua came in to lead Alabama to a National Championship in 2017? Because I do; and since that, the Tua truther in me started. Tua struggled in his first start, which is typical of an NFL rookie quarterback, but in game 2; Tua looked awesome. He moved within the pocket, rushed for 35 yards and threw for 248 yards and 2 touchdowns. The sample size is extremely small, and I get it but, Tua and The Miami Dolphins have such a great matchup against a Chargers defense that has allowed the 5th most points to the QB position all season. The Chargers have only NOT ALLOWED a QB1 in 2 weeks; those quarterbacks are Carr and Bridgewater; both played @ LAC. Tua is the 19th most expensive QB on the main slate and CHEAPER than non-active QB Gardner Minshew.

RUNNING BACKS

Duke Johnson (@ Cle) – $5,800

David Johnson hasn’t practiced all week due to the concussion protocol. Duke Johnson stepped up in a fine way last week against the Jaguars defense. He finished as the weeks RB 9 despite taking over for David Johnson after the first quarter. Duke may be a chalk play this week, but the value plays this week at the RB position are thin. Duke finished last week, in a VERY favorable matchup, with 41 rushing yards, 32 receiving yards on 4 catches with 1 touchdown; a FINE game on your fantasy football league benches. Nonetheless, Duke Johnson walks into a bell-cow situation as the Texans take on The Browns who are middle of the pack at the position; but have allowed 7 rushing touchdowns on the season including 4 in the last 5 games.

WIDE RECEIVERS

Diontae Johnson (vs CIN) –$5,700

As long as Johnson is the cheapest Pittsburgh receiver and outside the top 12 pricing wise, he will continue to be a value fan duel play. Now, of course this is all dependent on Big Ben playing this week, but I am confident that he will; good thing is you have until 12:59 PM EST to decide that. Johnson was one of my favorite fantasy league plays last week as he finished with a team leading 10 targets for 6 receptions and 77 receiving yards. Johnson has looked great, when healthy, this year. Cincinnati walks into Heinz Field allowing the 16th most points to the WR position. The crazy thing is, the only TRUE number one wide receiver they’ve played all year is Keenan Allen in week 1 and OBJ in week 2.

TIGHT END

Jordan Reed (@ NO) – $5,000

Jordan Reed burned me in fantasy for about a solid 3 years straight, so it doesnt shock me that I am falling for him again. The injuries never seem to let him live up to his fullest potential and even this year, on a team with tremendous opportunity for the TE position, he still cant seem to shake the injury bug. But 1 week removed from the IR, Reed steps into a situation with Aiyuk and Samuel splitting time after injuries, Ross Dwelley? I’m not worried and Kittle basically out for the year. The Saints are actually a favorable matchup for the position and have allowed 6 touchdowns to tight ends this season. The downside is, only 4 times have tight ends caught 4 or more passes and only twice have tight ends finished with 50+ receiving yards. I expect The Saints to be up comfortable this game, leading to a heavy pass game script for the 49ers.

GUT FEELING PLAYER

Jalen Reagor (@NYG) – $5,600

I am taking a HUGE risk on the rookie WR having only played 3 games this season. I think Reagor is one play away from a 3x value week against my New York Football Giants. Bradberry will be 1v1 against Fulgham and even if Alshon suits up, that matchup wont change. Fulgham garnished 11 targets, 5 catches and 73 yards 3 weeks ago against the Giants. Bradberry will take a hold of him when he can and that leaves the door open for Reagor to take the top off against a Giants secondary that lacks deep play defensive ability. I will be cheering hard for my GMen this week as the lead for the NFC LEAST division is on the line. I sense a nice week with a few big plays for Reagor. There have been TOO MANY rookie wide receivers this year who have broke out, Reagor is eager to do the same.
