MLB Happy Hour: Free DFS DraftKings Lineup Advice 4/18

Took Saturday and Sunday off, but we’re back on Monday, April 18th to give you guys free MLB DFS lineup help and advice!

Games on the slate:

MIL @ MIN    ☔

LAA @ CWS   ⛅

CHC @ STL   ☁️

ARI @ SF       ⛅

COL @ CIN   ☀️

WAS @ MIA   ?

NYM @ PHI   ⛅

Pitching

Noah Syndergaard $12,100 @ PHImlb dfs sleepers 4/18

It doesn’t get more chalky than this, the best pitcher on the slate taking on the Phillies. Every time the Phillies release their lineup, it always looks like a AAA lineup + Maikel Franco, there aren’t a lot of familiar faces in their lineup, and they struggle mightily because of it. Syndergaard has dominated the Phillies in his career, as Philadelphia hitters are batting a combined .156  against him in two career starts. Syndergaard is looking like a darkhorse Cy Young candidate already this season, he’s a ? for cash games tonight against Philly.

Carlos Rodon $9,100 @ LAA

The Angels offense has looked terrible so far this season, as they just got swept by the 0-9 Twins over the weekend. Rodon has struggled with control in the past, but his K rate throughout his career has been excellent. If Rodon can avoid the bats of Pujols and Trout, it should be an easy outing for him at home against the Angels who have scored just 36 runs so far as a team.

Sneaky GPP Play- Dan Straily

Lineup

David Peralta $3,300 vs. SF

Peralta is more of a contact hitter but still managed to hit 17 home runs last year in just 463 at-bats, while batting an impressive .312 with and an NL-leading 10 triples. As a lefty, it’s no surprise that Peralta faired considerably better last year against right-handed pitching, (.325 @ righties, .250 @ lefties). Peralta is facing Jake Peavy tonight, who has had a terrible season up to this point, as his ERA is in double digits and the most shocking stat of all is that his WHIP is 2.44…It’s safe to say the best years of the 2007 Cy Young award winner are behind him.

Paul Goldschmidt $4,500 @ SF

mlb sleepers 4/18

I’ve found the #1 stat to look at when deciding which teams to stack is look at a team’s Total Bases(TB on the stat sheet) on the year. The D-Backs have the 4th most total bases of all 30 teams, which means when they get hits, they’re doubles, triples, and home runs. Goldschmidt has been in a slump to start the season, but he was arguably the best hitter in baseball last year, (his price got up to $6,400 at one point in the season). At just $4,500 tonight against Peavy, we should see the 2015 Paul Goldschmidt tonight in San Fran.

Zack Cozart $3,100 vs. COL

Crazy statistic on Cozart: Zack swung and missed for the first time this season yesterday, as he’s taken 44 swings so far in 2016 and everyone single one has resulted in contact. It’s always a struggle trying to find value at the shortstop position in daily fantasy, but Cozart has been batting leadoff for the Reds this year and has done an excellent job in the leadoff role, batting .483 this season with 5 doubles. Cozart has excellent BVP against Lyles, as he’s 6 for 11 with 8 RBIs lifetime against him. At just $3,100, Cozart makes for an excellent cash game play.

Todd Frazier $4,500 vs. LAA

mlb dfs 4/18

Frazier hasn’t lived up to his potential this season, but he’s still got the power and ability to get an easy 18 point with one swing of the bat. Frazier had an OPS last season of .904 against left-handed pitching and he’s taking on Hector Santiago who has had trouble keeping the ball in the park throughout his career. Really liking a Chicago righties stack at home(Lawrie, Frazier, Abreu) for GPP.

Jordan Pacheco $2,600 vs. COL

The Reds are finally giving Pacheco a shot, as they have him hitting 2nd behind Cozart tonight against the Rockies. Pacheco showed a lot of promise early in his career, showing the ability to hit around .300 and steal bases at the catcher spot. He’s just $2,600 hitting in the 2 hole, and has been playing well in his limited at-bats this season.
