NBA Fanduel Lineup Advice 3/21/15
NBA Games for 3/21/15

Great night so far for my Fanduel lineups. Currently have 6 lineups cashing, a 7th knocking on the door, and my late night Lineup is doing ok. I need a nice game from a few late night players to increase my winnings, but pretty much guaranteed to come out positive.

My Top Plays from yesterday hit pretty good, with the exception of Wade. A few are still playing as I type this, but overall a good night, hope everyone had a successful night.

Tonight’s 5 game slate is kind of ugly, I had a hard time finding 10 players I liked enough to recommend them. I managed to scrap together enough players though. Let’s get to it…

Tonight’s Top Ten Plays

NBA Fanduel Lineup Advice 3/21/15
LaMarcus Aldridge

10) PF LaMarcus Aldridge $9600 He was the last one to make the cut in my Top Ten, not because I don’t like him, but because I don’t like his matchup. His usage rate still makes him viable, I just don’t love him like I did for his last 2 games.

NBA Fanduel Lineup Advice 3/21/15
Reggie Jackson

9) PG Reggie Jackson $7400 Make no mistake, Jackson has been awful as a real life basketball player in Detriot, but he has been usable in the fantasy world due to volume. Yes, he had a triple double his last game, but it was one of the weakest triple doubles I’ve ever seen. He made 4 shots out of his 17! Chicago though is so bad versus point guards, I think “I” might be able to get 35 Fanduel points against them.

NBA Fanduel Lineup Advice 3/21/15
Marc Gasol

8) C Marc Gasol $7900 The Blazers are a tough matchup for Gasol, but both Gasol and Randolph will always be somewhat matchup proof because of the style of offense they play. Even in a tough matchup, at $7900, Gasol can still get you 35+ tonight.

NBA Fanduel Lineup Advice 3/20/15
Geroge Hill

7) PG George Hill $6400 The Nets are coming off a triple overtime game versus the Bucks, and they get the Pacers on the second game of a back to back. The Nets are not a young team, so they have to be tired. George Hill should abuse D. Will and J. Jack tonight.

NBA Fanduel Lineup Advice 3/21/15
Pau Gasol

6) PF Pau Gasol $8900 Pau is a little over priced for his production lately, and on a larger slate, he would not make this list. His baseline value at $8900 is 40 Fanduel Points, but has only reached that total twice in his last 10 games. With a 5 game slate though, you’re not going to find too many guys that could get you 50+. Detroit’s interior defense is one of the worst in the league, they’ll have no answer for Pau.

Eric Bledsoe

5) PG Eric Bledsoe $8300 Another guy that is overpriced, but you can’t ignore his upside on a 5 games slate. As I’ve said many times before, he has the biggest difference in terms of fantasy points between his floor and ceiling. Just over his last 10 games, he has 2 games near 25 Fanduel Points and then has one a shade under 50. Plug him in and hope he gets closer to that 50 number.

NBA Fanduel Lineup Advice 3/21/15
Nikola Nirotic

4) PF Nikola Mirotic $7000 Had him on this list yesterday and it paid off. He is just too good right now to ignore. He kicks off the only 4 players I feel pretty comfortable playing today, all others have more risk involved. As a power forward, I could say that Detroit’s interior is awful, but he doesn’t play inside. He is a stretch 4, and that’s even worse for Detroit.

NBA Fanduel Lineup Advice 3/21/15
Derrick Favors

3) PF Derrick Favors $7500 This game will be interesting. Golden State is the best offense, and Utah is the best defense. Just looking at their records, you would think potential blowout, I’m thinking Golden State will struggle. Listen to this crazy stat Tweeted out by the Utah Jazz. “Jazz have held 11 of their last 15 opponents to 85 points or less. Only the Bucks(16) have more such games…..on the entire season!” What does that have to do with Derrick Favors? Nothing. I just wanted to mention that stat somewhere. Favors and Gobert could grab 20 rebounds each tonight. It’s strength versus strength.

Rudy Gobert

2) C Rudy Gobert $7900 see Derrick Favors

James Harden

1) SG James Harden $11000 What a game he had to finally wake up and start playing like the Harden we know and love. He gets a Suns team that doesn’t play much defense, and they push the pace, so Harden will get plenty of shots. I won’t tell you he will score 50 real life points again, but would you be surprised if he did?

Honorable Mentions

  • PG Steph Curry $10,000
  • PG Damian Lillard $8200
  • SG Rodney Stuckey $6100

Dunks of the Night

  • PG Aaron Brooks $5800 Getting close to peaking on his salary, but good matchup and still reasonable price.
  • SG KCP $4900 Sorry, really didn’t want to look up how to spell his name, but he is hot right now, if he keeps it up, I’ll learn how to spell it.
  • SG Tony Allen $4700 He got the starting nod in his last game, and had a decent game. Blazers are a decent matchup too.
  • SF PJ Tucker $5400 He gets a ton of minutes, and this game will be high scoring, he’ll get a piece of that scoring.
  • SF Corey Brewer $5400 Can you guess what game I’m targeting today?
  • PF Donatas Motiejunas $5600 How bout now?

Passes of the Night

  • PG Derron Williams/Jarrett Jack $5800/$5600 Two older, oft injuried guys, coming off a double overtime game, on a back to back, versus a good defense. No thanks.
  • SG Joe Johnson $5400 see above
  • C Brook Lopez $6900 Do you see a theme here?
  • SF Nicholas Batum $6900 Bad matchup.

Punts of the Night

  • SG Tony Snell $4200 Cheap and gets all the minutes, nothing more.
  • SF Jodie Meeks $3900 Not a great matchup, but he could get you 30, could also get you 10.

That’s all I got for Punts. It may change as the day goes on with resting players, and late scratches. Stay tuned.

Things You Should  Know, but Probably Don’t

  1. Eric Bledsoe in 3 games versus the Rockets has averaged 45 Fanduel points.
  2. In those same 3 games, James Harden has averaged 58 Fanduel points.
  3. LaMarcus Aldridge in 2 games versus the Griz has averaged 45 Fanduel points.
  4. Damian Lillard has averaged 38 in those same games.
  5. Gordon Hayward in his last game versus Golden State had 56 Fanduel points, he had 45 the previous 2 games combined.
  6. Marc Gasol has averaged 41 Fanduel points versus Portland in 2 games.
  7. Randolph, on the other hand, only 34 in 3 games(Gasol sat one out)
  8. Rudy Gobert in 3 games versus the Warriors has only one game in which he got 30 plus minutes(24 and 17 in other the 2) and he had 44 Fanduel points. He only has one game under 30 minutes over his last 14 games, and it was against the Hornets in a blow-out victory. He still got 29:53 in that game.
  9. In 3 games versus Utah Draymond Green had 34,23, and 18 Fanduel points. His totals went down in each game.
  10. In 3 games versus the Suns, Donatas Motiejunas has averaged 1.09 points per minute played(had 2 games under 20 minutes). He has averaged 37 minutes per game over his last 3 with T. Jones sidelined. T. Jones has already been ruled out. If those averages continue today, thats 40.3 Fanduel points.
  11. Patrick Beverly in 3 games versus the Suns averages 29 Fanduel points.
  12. Suns versus Rockets is the only game on today’s slate with an over/under above 200 points. This game is very stackable.

Some good stuff in the “Things You Should Know” today. If form holds, picking the right players from that Suns/Rockets game will be the key to victory tonight.

Hope everyone has a great night tonight, and as always, feel free to drop me a line, I actually have a weekend off from work for once, so I should have no trouble getting back to you pretty quickly.
