Wow, already 2 weeks into the season and we have  a handful of injuries and in fantasy football that hurts our team, in DFS though it doesn’t matter! It only opens up value for us, we just have to decipher which value is good value for our cash game roster.  So let’s dive into our top plays for week 3 of the NFL.

NFL DFS FanDuel & DraftKings Cash Game Advice for Week 3
Quarterback
Top-Tier
Drew Brees ATL @ NO FD $9,000/DK $7,900
Who dat? Who dat? Drew Brees at home is money and if you like money he will be your top play at this price. If you know something about Brees is the fact that Brees plays a whole lot better at home should make him an even much better play. Brees not only does he throw 2.8 touchdowns at home he also throws for 50 yards more . On Dk that 3 point bonus for 300 yards is important. I see brees exceeding this as Derek Carr depleted the Falcons secondary on the road last week. Brees is a top play for this tier.

Mid-Tier
Ryan Tannehill CLE @ MIA FD $7,400/DK $6,200
Even though it was garbage time, Tannehill played great and looked ready to attack with the passing game. Arian foster is out so this diminishes their run game, so they will look to throw against the incredible pass defense (sarcasm) of the Cleveland Browns. Joe Hayden their “star” Cornerback seems to be struggling still and with Landry and Parker clicking on all cylinders it looks like at this price range Tannehill will be the play for cash games as I could see him being a very chalky play for those that don’t want to pay up.
Value Play
Marcus Mariota OAK @ Tenn FD $7,700/ DK $5,900
You might be asking yourself wait Mariota at $7,700 is not a value, yes you’re right he’s not. His price on DK makes him a bargain bin value. He should easily exceed his 2x value against the raiders pass defense whom even with all the defensive help they got in the offseason, still don’t know how to slow down the pass. I don’t expect them to do it on the road.
Mariota seems to have some momentum going as they beat the lions, and with the Raiders being the worst pass defense in the league at the moment look for Mariota and company to attack the raiders through the air.

Running Back
Top-Tier
David Johnson FD ARI @ BUFF $8,400 DK $7,500
Many will be off of him due to him not getting so many points in last week’s game, due to a 4th qtr blowout. I expect this game to be closer as it is on the road. David Johnson is getting a great workload and can catch and run. Matt forte just lit up this defense for 3 touchdowns,expect johnson to get at least 2 . Plug and play for me as he will hit 2x value easily on DK and FD.
Mid-Tier
Melvin Gordon  SD @ IND FD $7,100 DK $5,800
If there ever was a chalk play of the week, I present you, Melvin Gordon! This guy is the talk of the town and with Danny Woodhead going down that leaves the whole backfield to Gordon . I am not of afraid of the signing of Dexter McCluster as he hasn’t gotten much practice time with the team. Gordon should see a heavy dosage or red zone looks, as he leads the league with the most red zone looks for a running back . The Colts have struggled to stop the run this year and their defense is probably one of the worst in the league . Expect Gordon to get 100 all-purpose yards and a TD in this one, as well Vegas has this game at 51.5 points and we should be expecting a shootout .
Value Play
Theo Riddick DET@ GB FD $6,400/DK $4,900
Ameer Abdullah just got put on the I.R. and that alone should give Riddick all the volume in that backfield. If he shares carries it will be with Dwayne Washington, but even then Riddick is involved in the passing game and should get at least 5 catches . The neat thing about the Lions is that in the red zone they like to pass the ball and not run it in, so they can do a few dump off passes to Riddick.
Other players to consider: Charles Sims, Deangelo Williams,Demarco Murray
Wide Receiver
Top-Tier
Antonio Brown PIT @ PHI FD $9,500/DK $9,600
Some people got burned by Brown last week as he played the Bengals. I’ve realized that Brown struggles against the Bengals in the past  so don’t let that affect you for this week’s top play at WR. The Eagles Defense isn’t as good as you think . The offenses they’ve faced are the Browns and Bears, I could slow down both of those offenses. Now the eagles get the Steelers at home and now will have to live up to the big task of SLOWING down AB .
Mid-Tier
Mike Evans LA @ TAM FD $8,000/DK $7,000
Guess who leads the league in targets? Ok, trick question he’s tied with Maclin in targets with 24 targets. That’s 12 a game . I will take the volume and his height advantage over the Buccaneers cornerbacks any day. I see Evans having a field day in this game as he should easily dominate blow past everyone.
Value Play
Tyrell Williams SD @ IND FD $6,100/DK $4,300
This play is one my favorite plays as he has one of the highest ceilings for a value. Last week he met value and this week he plays the Colts and like I’ve said this game is going to be a barn burner, wit both sides being a pass happy offense so expect this to go back and forth. Big deep ball threat and as for now Vontae Davis is questionable, who is their best cornerback . Right now the Colts are throwing a Junior Varsity defense out there.
Other players to consider: Julio Jones, Travis Benjamin,Larry Fitzgerald
Tight End
Top-TierÂ
Delanie Walker OAK @ TENNÂ FD $6,900/DK $5,000
New formula for Tight ends against the Oakland Raiders
Raiders Defense + Opponent  TE = Top play at TE
I’m playing, but no really the Raiders can’t defend the TE worth their life. They allowed 149 yards to the Falcons last week and well Fleener is horrible so he couldn’t do anything against the Raiders. Talented TE will get their points and I see Walker getting his . Keep a close eye on him as I see he is questionable at the moment with a hamstring injury.
Mid-Tier
Dwayne Allen SD @ IND FD $6,100/DK $3,800
This is only based on the fact that the colts offense lost Donte Moncrief and the targets must go somewhere and I see some of them going towards Allen . This is a better play on DK as I’d rather have Touchdown Upside over volume for TE.
Value Play
Dennis Pitta BAL @ JAX FD $5,000/DK $3,400
12 targets  is what Pitta got last week, and with targets comes points. Pitta is being used well and is playing against the Jaguars who have a faster-paced offense. Vegas has this for 47.5 points so this should get a good amount of volume in the pass offense for both teams and should get the ball back and forth for Pitta. If you don’t want to pay up for Walker this is the chalk that the crowd will go to for dirt cheap at $5,000.
Other players to consider: None
Defense
this week will be different as I don’t have a tier for all three defenses as I like them all so play whichever one your salary allows you.
Miami Dolphins
Hands down the best matchup, Corey Coleman is out with a broken hand and the dolphins are playing the browns who are starting a rookie QB at home and are a favorite. The browns are only projected to score 16.5 Â points, I project them to score 7 points total.
NY Giants
They’ve looked a lot better on defense as I see the Redskins continue to struggle against the giants pass defense which just shut down Brees last week.
Seattle Seahawks
If you have the salary to pay up, go ahead and roster Seattle. I always like them at home as they should dominate these 49ers. Â My only worry here is that the 49ers will get garbage points, which is why I’d rather have the Dolphins defense.
Kicker
We Don’t do kickers at goingfor2 if you do play one target high scoring games and in a dome and preferably a team that will be ahead.
